Yes, for several days now, my eyes have been exposed to pornographic images, even though I have been trying to protect myself from them for several years now.
The problem is that as soon as I mute one, two more appear the next day, which makes me feel uncomfortable towards my readers who want to be informed without being confronted with this kind of imagery.

Yes, it is annoying and distasteful but people see that it is an attempt to stop you from posting and says more about the person doing it than a reflection on you. Keep up the good work.

95% plus will either ignore it or report it, and it increasingly loses its disruptive, shock value the more originator keeps on doing it.
All you say is accurate. I do wonder though about what to do about bots built to constantly spin up new nostr accounts, connect to relays, and then spam the hell out of legit accounts with c-pr0n and the like full of reprehensible stuff. At a certain point, running a relay becomes criminal by sheer volume of the trash running through it.
Which puts us right back to the demand for centralized content moderation. 🤔

Maybe Nostr clients need to implement a downvote/dislike 👎 filter feature via NIP-25?
Unless clients start adding AI 🤖 to detect unwanted notes although that ends up being a slippery slope. ⚠️
the truth is that at the moment I feel useless trying to ask to silence someone because of how 'nostr' works. comments that I have tried to delete turn out that some relays do not delete them.

Wonder if there is a way to make a client where only posts that pay couple sats to post shows up. Got to make it costly to spam or the spam will continue unfortuntely.

I’ve got your back. If anything becomes too annoying, you can always report, filter, or use mute/block on certain relays to reduce the noise.
