Nice! You putting an optic on it?
On any Glock I acquire, I immediately swap out at least 3 parts:
1. I replace the factory sights with glow in the dark night sights.
2. I replace the factory slide stop with a Vickers Tactical slide stop. The factory one doesn't offer much of a "shelf" for the thumb to apply force.
3. I replace the factory slide lock with a trapezoidal slide lock for essentially the same reason cited in 2 above.

An excellent machine. I replaced my Gen 3 with one of these after about 10 years of daily carry. No regrets. But I did switch to the gen 5 26 as my EDC. It's also wonderful with the +2 plates.
I agree. And yes, G26 Gen 5 is a very nice EDC.

Red dot, performance trigger, a TLR-8 light/laser, and a couple more mods incoming. I like to keep things based and dependable. One of the main problems I see with people who put too many aftermarket mods on their firearms is that their otherwise dependable firearms start to have issues.
How's your RXM build going?
That's good! Hopefully these new models don't suck so bad that they sky rocket the prices of the older models.
What dot and trigger are you leaning towards. I'm stuck with either going for a new red dot from holosun or keeping my old one.
I get that 100%, that's why I take my time on my mods. I've had a bad issue before with my old gen 3 when I wanted to mod it to oblivion. 😂
Honestly my builds good so far, I just need to find a light and to get a better trigger tbh. So far its as bare bones as a pistol can get. I'm thinking of building one similar to a Roland special for simplicity. My competition days are over and I just need something practical and reliable.
All of the above. I approach this the same way I approach any tool—with respect, training, and clear intention. I'm trained in martial arts, firearms, and executive protection, so I understand defense from multiple perspectives.
I appreciate the precision and engineering. But beyond that, personal sovereignty matters to me. In a world where you can't always rely on others to protect you, taking responsibility for your own safety and the safety of those you love isn't just practical—it's an extension of self-reliance and awareness.

I can understand and "feel" some of these aspects, but (luckily) I cannot imagine to live in a place where I have to carry a firearm to protect me; this would be really scary. I hope one day we can all empower a more peaceful personal sovereignty.

Thank you. I first started incorporating Krav Maga and the Russian special forces combat system, Systema Spetsnaz, into my training a little over 20 years ago. Both are powerful, practical, and effective in the real world.
I agree with you. Krav Maga's moral and operational principles are solid: moral conduct, self-discipline, avoiding unnecessary aggression, personal responsibility, de-escalation, situational awareness, prevention, proportionality and restraint, etc.
The best fight is the one that never happens. And if you can't avoid an attack, then neutralizing the threat quickly and efficiently is optimal—not causing unnecessary harm or death.
great advice especially the slide stop, which I hate with a passion, especially during emergency reloads - I have tritium night sights but unfortunately not allowed to mod my G19 with a real slide stop

I hear you. I try not to put third-party aftermarket stuff in my builds unless it earns a spot. I think a lot of the problems people have with their builds come from stacking too many aftermarket mods. So, I'm going with a GLOCK performance trigger. And yeah, you really can't go wrong with Holosun. Practical and reliable is where it's at for EDC.
