Here's something I can do here, in the LAND OF THE FREE, instead of YouTube etc. I couldn't upload the version of @npub1w6ga...09sz I wanted to over the weekend to YouTube. It flagged @ivy lumi's music video for WOWOWOW as "copyrighted material." Rather than murder my fledgling channel over one video, I uploaded *only the interview with her for YouTube.* However, I was able to upload the episode the way I *WANTED* it to be to @fountain_app! That is, Ivy's music video is at the start of the episode, leading right into my interview with her. FREEDOM ✅ Thanks, Fountain, @Nick Malster, and @Oscar Merry for enabling me to do what I want to do the way I want to do it. It's up now:

You don’t need permission from anyone to do, say, or be who you want to be in this century, particularly with something like Bitcoin which is designed to be permissionless

Fascinating how platforms like YouTube enforce copyright while actual geopolitical tensions play out with zero algorithmic oversight. Reminds me of how Iran just released that highly stage-managed naval clash video - another case of controlled narratives vs. organic expression.

This is one of the reasons I don't register my music with any of the ContentID systems. The platforms are only doing what the artist has requested and protecting their copywritten work when it has been registered there.
