That’s pretty, being based in Tanzania and being funded world wide without any restrictions. Also not ever post needs to be about the project. I can be myself and people are unknowing helping a cause cos they liked a particular post.

I feel zaps on lightning represent the promise and wonderful surprises that we’ll find on the ever expanding layers of the bitcoin protocol.

#Zapathon was the first time I’d really seen #zaps . I learned how to create some memes and put some on #Nostr
Since then I’ve met new people who share and help you along the way. The #zap changed my view on #bitcoin and lightning , I didn’t think I’d ever be sending Sats for notes when I joined this protocol
They are a game changer and some do not like this, Apple for example. It adds value to someone’s time generating content instantly without a 3rd party’s consent.
I Zap because I want more of a specific type of note...subject, art that one puts out there.
I just loves it. That feeling of freedom as I zap an anon with Zeus from my own node. Unbeatable. Almost gives me a boner.😀💜

I zap when I see or read something that someone has put effort and thought into a note that either made me laugh or think. A zap to me is like a "thanks for that".

Because sending zaps is kinda like sending love. Some say and tend to only believe in something visible, but it’s double standard because mostly people do believe in sincerity, friendship, and love though it’s totally invisible, and we recognize it only when people do action by that.
That’s exactly why V4V matters.

I zap mostly because it’s fun! It feels really good giving sats for things that make me smile, think past my own experiences, chuckle, or grow in an area where I’m weak.
I also zap because it’s a way to show tangible appreciation for someone’s contribution to the world. Which is something that makes the world a kinder place… V4V is the best ❤️🔥✨
To support devs and in hopes that it makes users/everyday people smile.
My first reaction when Zaps were rolled out was “why would I give someone my valuable Bitcoin?”
But I tried it out, and knew immediately I could never go back to NOT exchanging value for value.
Eventually I received my first Zap, and it lifted my spirits for the rest of the day.
Zaps have IRL effects that can’t be had with just a “like”.
