Had I known publishing on Nostr would just be a conversation between myself and God, I wouldn't have been so reluctant to build in public. I wasn't expecting fanfare, but I'd seen the sometimes overwhelming response to other people's work and was scared off. I didn't want to get tied up talking. It's why I've always hidden behind nyms. Turns out unless you propose on-chain zaps, you've got very little to worry about. I'm enjoying the crickets while I build.

It is absolutely gut wrenching to devote time, energy, and resources to help grow nostr in silent agony with zero interaction or engagement. Screeching into a silent void of nothingness where the exact same small group of people lurk but refuse to communicate, gossip & engage about you - without you, & remain fused in tribal cliques of selected engagement after proselytizing & virtue signaling to others the critical need for people to "just follow people, engage & participate." It sucks. Anyone excluded from special tribal hierarchies, festers in a hamster wheel to nowhere of gaslit silent bullshit. People are usually too cowardly or polite to say anything, it seems. Regardless of shenanigans, hypocrisies, silence, or a glaring lack of followers or engagement, posting anyways is the most valuable thing you can do. Building nostr is like building the future. It means tolerating what is as it is, while you do your part to change it. 🌻🚣🏻‍♀️
