How does Damus handle loading it? You loaded it ahead of taking the video I suppose? On noStrudel it's rather a ... mixed experience as loading does stop at some point and reloading the page helps it get more events.
In the video here damus notedeck loads from nostrdb using a standard query. It caches the note primary keys in a long list. Every time you open the thread it looks only for the newest notes since the last one. This means notedeck can load everything, even if its millions of notes
I'm surprised that loads at all in noStrudel on mobile...
I just installed notedeck and oh my god.... it is so fast!

Running Arch Linux and installed from AUR, it just builds it from github.
:dancing_banana: it's not on mobile. It's on my desktop that I'm debugging why it's so slow all day already. The portrait mode is just for generation tiktok's viewing comfort.
