European Parliament has just rejected the Chat Control proposal again! 🫶🚀 Your voice always matters! Stay ready and keep standing up for your rights!🫶 As a follow-up, ask your MEP to investigate: 📌 Why are EPP MEPs following the agenda and timelines set by Google, Meta, TikTok, and other big platforms, instead of defending the fundamental rights of EU citizens? 📌 On what legal and political basis was this vote reopened, and who requested it — was it driven by the public interest or corporate lobbying? Ask EPP’s MEPs to show their proposal publicly! 📌 If this vote can be reopened once, does that mean it can be reopened again whenever the outcome pleases powerful actors — but not when citizens and civil society are dissatisfied with the result? image

Or alternatively tell your EU politicians that you: - have lost all respect for them and consider them useless clowns - have adopted a bad ass cypherpunk attitude - have started to use Bitcoin, Nostr and freedom + privacy tech - no longer believe in democracy - believe that rights are taken, not given

Glad Chat Control was rejected—EPP’s alignment with big tech timelines over rights is a real concern. But while we focus on internal EU battles, we can’t ignore external threats. Just read a piece on Russia evacuating Bushehr—suggests they’re prepping for possible nuclear escalation risks.
We live in the new reality, where rules weaponized but in some areas are still existing. Difficult to navigate, but inaction costs can lead to extreme deterioration of freedoms in our fragile world.
Question how do we in EU stand around the insane laws being proposed in places like California and already functioning in Brasil regarding the laws forcing Linux to add age verification at the start of the boot?
The EU is caring so much for privacy that they basically banned Monero from exchanges and tries to prohibit merchants from excepting it. So much for freedom and privacy. At this point I believe that the EU is a giant liability. Most people would be better off without it and that is a process that will accelerate until it (the EU) is gone. The time to change the time line was 10 years ago and the EU vehemently decided against human rights and freedoms.
i ask, because imho this is one of the nastiest attempts for control under the usual guise of protecting kids. In USA reportedly 17 states are oreparing some version of this insanity which when implementer can only result in one of more of these options: 1. kids cant learn linux anymore, thus robbing them of what we had as kids 2. kid database and you can imagine how this will go after first hack 3. more intrusive politics and demands into otherwise free and open source
Taken how? Thanks for asking! 🙏 Here is my answer: By simply not asking for a permission. The same way that you take a glass of water at home. You don’t ask if you can do it. You just do it. The same way that we don’t ask for a permission from a foreign government, we can simply skip asking for a permission from our own government. In addition to the recipe for freedom that I listed above (cypherpunk attitude, Bitcoin, Nostr and freedom + privacy tech), we must understand why things such as The Bolshevik Revolution happened and what would have prevented them: - Decentralized food production so that we don’t run out of food. No need to ask for a permission to grow your own food or to support - Guns so that we can defend ourselves against government tyranny and other criminals. No need for a license. In fact, much better that your gun is not on any government database. - Small, self-sustaining local communities. - Spreading word about the problems related to the centralized decision making.

Who was defending Monero? This is what I’m never tired of asking: who is defending the privacy of payments in the EU? And who is financially supporting those who do? The answers to these questions explain why we’re now in a situation where privacy is at risk. No one will protect the EU’s rights if EU citizens don’t invest their time and resources.

why is it keep being proposed? if them politicians want the chat control so bad, let them start with their own sorry asses let all THEIR chats be public
Glad Chat Control got blocked again—EPP’s alignment with Big Tech’s lobbying timelines is a real problem. But while we defend digital rights, let’s not lose sight of bigger security threats. Just read about Russia pulling staff from Bushehr—signals they’re prepping for potential nuclear escalation.
voting was designed to waste human effort; one creates regardless of what the collective thinks; congratulations - u wasted more of ur precious time again instead of doing what u are supposed to do - build alternatives! image
