This comes out to working for about 10 minutes at minimum wage for gas, while in today’s world you need to work (7.25/hour min wage and 3.47/gallon) about 29 minutes. It’s criminal especially since technology should make things *less* expensive.

They want to spend 0.0003 cents on the dollar.
Everything has basically inflated by 10x except comparing to present day prices:
- housing which has inflated by 20x (assuming median not average)
- income has inflated by only 5x
Also, food was probably healthier and less processed back then.
