“Christian Zionism" is a 19th century innovation that the Reformers and Puritans would've called heresy.
-Christ fulfilled Israel's promises
-The Church is God's people now
- No ethnic group has special status
- Territory in the Middle East has zero prophetic significance
Modern Israel deserves what all nations deserve…evaluation by God's moral law, nothing more, nothing less.
-Supporting Israeli nationalism isn't biblical.
-Supporting power over the powerless isn't biblical.
Follow Christ. Love enemies. Seek justice for the oppressed, whoever they are.
Stop baptizing nationalism with Bible verses.

That is truth!!
Well said. The age of deceit is upon us
Yup
I spoke about this at church several months ago. Didn’t know how it would be received but I felt people needed to hear truth and not tradition.
The church needs to know. These convos ought to be happening.
Yes, absolutely! After digging into the scriptures as I’ve gotten older, I realize that I was taught a lot of tradition, legalism, etc and not the truth of scripture.
Amen, brother! 🙏
My bet is that if America left Israel to itself, Islam wouldn’t be such a problem to us. A main reason they hate us is that they’re in a war with Israel that we fund.
So it’s simple. Leave Israel to its own demise.

Furthermore, "Israel" in the biblical sense, is not a nation state, and never was. Israel includes anyone who loves God, and proof of loving God is love of each other. Israel the nation state is a mockery of the true Israel.
The Reformers didn't go far enough, by a long shot! And one of the greatest residual errors among reform churches is the heresy of "sphere sovereignty."
A vast amount of error has been instantiated and promulgated by corrupt translations of Scripture:

I have long been convinced that subtle corruption of scripture translation is one of satan
Is this a guy you follow Duncan?
This article’s framework is closer to radical Anabaptist or modern libertarian Christian anarchism than to what I affirm in reformed covenant theology.
> Territory in the Middle East has zero prophetic significance
I agreed with everything but this line. Aren't there several books (Ezekiel, Revelation, etc.) that talk about the Mount of Olives and other significant places?
For Ezekiel I take it as being symbolic of Christ’s victory. For revelations I take this as the heavenly city, the bride of Christ (the church)
What about past events that have been fulfilled? Jesus being born in Bethlehem for example. Do you mean any future significance?
I’m merely speaking on the way dispensationalism and zionists worship the nation state of Israel. Ergo, ref my original note.
Does that make sense?
