I'm in favor of the simples dynamics for self custody. Using cutting edge stuff always hurts. I have a bitkey in the mail sent to me for testing. Aside from all the complexity, no screen is a tough pill for me to swallow.

There is no excuse if this turns out to be true. Companies holding other people’s funds should have used all the frontier Ai and found these vulnerabilities themselves by now.

Bitcoin and Nostr, yeah. We're supposed to be so cutting edge, but okay. Also, government agencies holding critical data and a surprising number of large corporations. It's crazy how little AI is used in QC and QA, everywhere. Terrifying. Haven't been able to find a single potential employer utilizing AI for inhouse testing and it's like I brought up AI and cryptography at an interview for a bank IT department and they were like, "Oh, we don't worry about that." Okay. Interview was going well, until that moment.

It’s always shocking to me how fast the AI space is moving right now and how few people actually realize that it’s moving super fast and it’s super competitive and every single week there’s some new tool that’s come out and almost nobody has considered the impact esp on legacy or older code bases. Maybe i am just surrounded by it so i cant avoid, but its crazy hyperspeed fast

Yeah. I don't feel like I'm that far ahead, but I regularly meet IT professionals that still can't explain keypairs or what an LLM is. But a bank... You would think people at a bank should be thinking about security, right? People keep their money there.

I can't keep up

A bank just outsources their security to 1)FDIC and 2) 3rd parties. They literally don't want or need the liability. Someone else will take care of them if they get owned and they can just sue or get compensated.
