It wasn’t glamorous. It was a late-night, high-pressure, thankless rescue mission—and they succeeded because they valued truth over ego, consensus over convenience.

Great video Matthew!
I love learning Bitcoin history like this
Watching Adam Back dunk on Luke was disturbing. Why does he defend Core so much???
This was hinted at, but Luke is also the reason why we avoided a hardfork with segwit. He figured out how to make it a soft fork.
Why are you surprised? Your problem is that you have chosen to trust what Kratter tells you instead of people who have much better understanding of these topics. Kratter has an absurd level of belief that Core is rogue, that they are compromised and that someone from Core stole Luke's bitcoin. You would do well to question more what Kratter is telling you. Who do you think understands how bitcoin works better? Adam Back or Matthew Kratter?
Because Luke has a history of saying insane shit most likely.
Core is rogue. Merging literal crap without consensus. Bitcoin Knots will grow and grow and grow as they allow image file spam. Knots ~ 18% these days...
As I said, you should start listening to people who uderstand the issue. If you think Adam Back is wrong and Kratter is right you will find yourself making some bad choices like the people who followed Roger Ver in the block size war. Enjoy your day 👍
PS Kratter says in the video thst Luke "creates and maintains the Knots node software". He knows the truth but is hiding it deliberately because all Luke does is to directly take the bitcoin core software and add some options & filters. That's all it is., Core with patches. Don't trust, verify. Kratter is leading you astray
The issue is that Core merged controversial stuff without consensus. That's the issue.
People will continue to vote by moving to Bitcoin Knots, especially after Core 30 is released and the opp_return spam starts rolling through...
Write that down and enjoy your weekend.
Bitcoin Knots is at 18% right now b/c Core Dev ignored their Node runners. It will climb and climb and climb as they continue to ignore Node runners. Let's check back in December and see where the Knots percentage is there.
I tried to zap you but it says your wallet can’t accept. You led me to nostr with these videos - so please help me zap you.
Awesome videos. I try to share as many as poss
You are full of shit ... and lies.

There will be a time when plebs will appreciate
@Bitcoin Mechanic and Jason as much as @Luke Dashjr.
We would have already lost the spam battle and mining decentralization war by now if
@Bitcoin Mechanic and Jason didn't exist lol.
Pretty much all of the @npub1qtvl...7dze team deserve so much respect.
WE HAVEN'T WON YET PLEBS. THIS IS A LONG GAME. KEEP RUNNING KNOTSAND CONTINUE MINING WITH @npub1qtvl...7dze

After watching this video, I realize we always say "thank you, Satoshi," but we don’t say enough to @Luke Dashjr .
Honestly, Luke’s been a big part of #bitcoin, and we should show him more appreciation for everything he’s done.
Plus especially for fighting against spams and help to tackle mining centralization in recent years.

Just an fyi

Someone can be both a master carpenter and a terrible home builder. No one who thinks Knotts is a bad idea thinks Luke hasn’t made great individual contributions. This is a straw man argument.
You’re reactive and aren’t saying anything to convince people to be pro Core. Maybe consider that you’re being played by Core devs and their marketing team.
Nigga, it’s 10+ people maintaining Knots plus all of Core’s dev team. He copies the Core code (meaning, they did a ton of work making sure it runs well which he can take advantage of), he then reviews the code with his volunteers and makes adjustments. Matt’s videos go over this. Are you aware of these things? Again, you’re getting all salty, clearly favoring a side (Core) but you don’t even know the full argument. Lay down a reasonable argument and then we can talk.
Listen up cracker, I know Luke patches on top of Core he also fucked up big time & had his coins stolen because someone got hold of his fucking pgp keys. He had to issue a public warning not to download or use Knots until the issue was resolved. That's the person in charge of Knots 👍
That’s reasonable, I can totally see why you’d feel that way. However, if I could extend an olive branch, might it be that Luke has gotten much better with his security since losing so much bitcoin? I know I’d brush up on my security practices if I lost THAT MUCH! I’d be fucking mortified. Thank you for calling me cracker. That immediately diffused any animosity I had toward you 🫂
Was about to post the same
Ha! I just thought it was an amusing response to you calling me nigga and glad you'd appreciate it. Cheers!
Why do some people hate this so much?
