I have no data to back this but I feel like twitter is as bad for your health as alcohol

I deactivated my Twitter account, again, yesterday. My life is substantially better without Twitter, yet I keep ending up back there. I just wish my Twitter friends would come here.

I would argue that scrolling through any social media, hour after hour each day, is toxic for your body and mind. Get outside and touch grass.
Smoking may be a better comparison. If you’re going to use twitter, do so behind the building where nobody but other twitterers can see. Nobody wants to be exposed to second-hand twittering. View quoted note →

They say God invented whisky to stop the 🇮🇪 from taking over the world :D
Agree. Worse. Being in a frequent state of anxiousness from those platforms has awful ripple effects on self, and people around you.

Yeah maybe worse since the personality changes in the people that I see on various social media sites with algorithms seems to be possibly permanent.

All social media is bad. It sucks your life and mind away.
Depends on what you tune into. I have clued into a specific community and it’s very cool now when before I would have agreed with your sentiment.
Much worse than alcohol. To begin with, the dopamine cycle gets messed up. Then social media inbox open to the world will destroy women and family. Then the addiction... Etc.. Etc...
