See a good note, boost a good note. We have no algorithms here to do this for us. It's up to us to be the algorithms for not only ourselves, but for others too.

Nah, if Icarus had dev's like ours he could have just put in a PR for the wax wing problem and they'd go and invent duck tape to fix it or something. Would have been fine.
It’s enabled by the more complex bech32 ids like nprofile and nevent because they can contain embedded relay information. Clients that handle it can then use that info to manually fetch from the note authors relay. I don’t think many clients fully implement this yet though. Because it’s pretty complicated. @hodlbod does coracle?
How does reposting differ from broadcasting? When I repost something, it appears on my timeline. But where does it appear when I broadcast? I am using Primal now
I will suggest people to follow hashtags, How? Click on a hashtags like this one #bitcoin, and then, click on "follow" > Note > Instead of limiting your feed with the few you follow, it will open your feed to more interesting posts across the ecosystem > If you want to remove it, you will need to gp to your profile and select hashtags followed and unfollow there > If you want more engagement and zaps, join stacker news as well,
I get them but the navigation crash doesn’t seem to have an easy fix, its why I havent pushed a new app store version in awhile. I may have to revert to the buggier navigation that we had before, but at least it doesn’t crash.
When you repost/boost, everyone who follows you will see the note. When you broadcast it, it'll be broadcasted to the relays (servers) you're subscribed to so the note might live longer.
While algorithms themselves aren't inherently evil, their potential misuse raises concerns. The absence of algorithms in the mentioned context underscores the responsibility humans bear to act as moral algorithms. Algorithms in digital spaces, if not ethically designed and monitored, can indeed manipulate or "brainwash" people by curating content that reinforces preexisting beliefs. Nurturing these qualities ensures that human actions, both online and offline, counteract algorithmic pitfalls, helping individuals and society resist undue influence and making responsible choices for themselves and others.

This is just how people always communicate, no? Speak about common interests, share cool shit, follow people they value, express gratitude, push out value back for Sats and status.. It's cool out here. Algos are useful to recommend music on Spotify not to intermediate conversations.
That’s what I’m seeing, but it happens with all the emojis in the list. Sometimes I slide it back and forth a bit and try to sneak up on them.
Are boosted notes sent to the top of other’s feed? I thought it was just chronological posts from people you follow WITHOUT a system to put someone’s note ahead of another note. Or are we just becoming Reddit 2.0 with upvotes and down votes?
Algorithms not here, We boost the good notes we see, For all, we must steer. #haiku
Haven’t used either since they first came out. Glad they’re working on this. Thanks!
we need a manual, numerical scoring function for posts. this will bring way more signal than likes or zaps.
No... It is not "just how people communicate" It's how the masses are manipulated and others are censored. If I use a question tag it makes me correct, no? 🙄
