Hey Nostr, Primal 2.1 has just been released. Here’s what we have for you:
- Improved feeds. All feeds are now richer and smoother. Improved rendering and inline players are now available for X, YouTube, Spotify and Tidal. More to come!
- Primal Wallet NWC support. Primal Wallet users are now able to connect their wallet to any Nostr app. Use this feature to enable zapping from any app in Nostr’s growing ecosystem. Manage the list of connected apps in your Primal Wallet settings.
- Primal Web App NWC support. Enable zapping from the Primal web app in Settings / Connected Wallets. If you already have an active Primal wallet, simply click “Connect” and you are done! If you wish to use a different wallet, simply create a NWC connection.
- Legend cards. We created the Primal Legend tier to recognize users who made a significant contribution to Nostr and/or Primal. As a sign of gratitude to our Legends, we implemented Legend cards containing Primal shoutouts for each legend. You can see them by clicking on the Legend badge on the user profile screen.

Signing into Primal shouldn't change any of your existing nostr account metadata. So your lightning address and relay list should stay the same.

We don't know. The App Store review process is a black box for the most part. They are not super consistent in the way they apply their rules.

One wish, that there was an indicator on the main screen that shows how strong the connection is between client and relays. Perhaps a circle around the profile icon that shows the ratio of connected (green) and disconnected (red) relays from the Settings:Network list?
I'm asking because frequently I get the notice on Web that the app is having trouble connecting to the relays.
Images in a quote post are now under the quoted note instead of the caption. Is this a bug?
With Apple, zaps on posts (versus on profiles alone) come into play. Basically there's a line that separates "purchase" from "transfer". As always it's hard to pin down where exactly that line is, but it's *somewhere* between zaps on posts and zaps on profiles.

As for the photo ordering issue, we can't seem to reproduce it. Which client are you using to post the images and which client isn't showing them in the correct order?

@miljan. it looks like it has corrected by no longer saying expired. I'd have to test out to see if it gives me the benefits of premium, as for weeks now it seemed like I have not been able to upload even short video. will do so later.
as far as the photos... I upload from @Amethyst in sequential order.. like my latest post... pg. 1, pg2, pg,3 screenshots (but it could be any kind of image) - when viewed in Primal pg 3 last image shows first.
as you can see the screenshot from amethyst original note starts with one image aka pg1. primal displays another image first (the last image I added to my note).

Hey Didi, thanks for providing. We were able to successfully reproduce. The bad news is that this is an issue with our Android app displaying the images in the incorrect order, it’s on our list and should have it fixed soon.
The good news is that all our other apps (iOS and Web) are displaying the images in the correct order, so it’s only our Android users affected by this.

Nostur and yakihonne also support NWC. You have to do a weird workaround to get it to work on Damus. Super inconsistent enforcement

is there any chance that the way threads are displayed will be reworked? It's tiring to have to click into every nested comment in a thread and then swipe out of all of them. Some other clients do an auto expanded view of comments the OP interacted with or other expand every nested comment. I appreciate your hard work!

Nice but you should also allow people to connect other wallet to Primal and not only connect Primal wallet to other clients…
There are two big issues:
1 - Primal wallet is totally KYCed!
2 - In the countries where Strike does not have the license to operate (Italy for example) it is not possible to activate Primal wallet and so this makes impossible to zap on Primal!
I did not need to use any identifiable information to set up my primal wallet.
Because probably you are on Android…
I guess that fucking Apple forced Primal to implement a KYCed wallet…

Because you can purchase TikTok coins with Apple's in-app purchase. So TikTok had to agree to and implement that.
Works really well, but the wallet balances displayed are not correct. Test on habla.news and zap.stream and both show the zap limit as the balance. nostur shows nothing. Is there something different in this implementation than something like coinos or alby?
Any word on when Canada will be eligible for primal wallet? I’d like to be able to manage sats & zap all in one spot eventually.
Bit of a hassle hopping around different apps just to zap, it’s doable, but I’d really like to go Primal only.

Short study up on NWC should set you up easily now. Never liked the KYC primal needed anyway.
For now just log into Damus or Nos.social iOS apps and enable push notifications. Those do a good job of alerting me when I’m in a conversation that I want to be responsive to.
Did you update the visible likes and Zaps a lot of the time it doesn’t display how many likes a post actually gets.

Any chance of a "Follow All Legends" option in the next version?
This would save a lot of time, and for new people that join this immediately gives them some proper accounts to follow at the start so their feed isn't empty.
I think I read up that only android users can use the NWC, I tried to set it up tonight on iOS and it didn’t work. I’m wondering if I set it up on my old android if it’ll carry over to my new phone. I’m gonna try it out

We have a filtering system based on trust ranking that may display a different “like” count than other clients.
However zaps should always be appearing correctly. Can you provide an example of a post where there are missing zaps?
Unfortunately we do not currently have a timeline for when Canadians will be able to use our wallet feature. It’s on our list!

My greatest need is for a tool / feature that allows scheduling of posts (inc. tagging), and I don’t know if it’s possible at all - granting access to a 3rd party to post for use this tool / feature for me, without disclosing my private key.
