In the Android world we have DeGoogled OSes like LineageOS, GrapheneOS, and /e/OS.
In the Linux phone world we have Mobian (Mobile Debian), Mobile Plasma, etc.. Linux phones work much better than people give them credit for. Linux phones do "convergence" better then any other phones. Convergence is when you use your phone as a phone, and you also dock it to a keyboard, mouse and monitor, and use it as your computer.

Isn't there a way around? I think the issue was that the zaps could not be associated with a post because of whichever retarded rule. However, what if the zap links to the profile where there is the option of tipping the poster?

yes, specifically for note zaps. It must be clear its zapping to a profile instead of a note. If they don’t they will be at risk of getting pulled randomly like damus.
Not sure why podcasting 2.0 apps are allowed since this is the same as note/content zapping.

I think for that to happen the phone itself must become irrelevant. Perhaps web assembly applications becoming better and more performant than local app.s This would make wathever OS or hardware running inconsequential.

Problem is... if you went far enough with hardware and software it would be far too threatening for the networks to allow such devices and so they would not. So then you'd also have to somehow launch and maintain an alternative global mobile wireless network.
Gotta say that I am extremely happy with a Pixel device (6a) running Graphene OS. I was expecting to have to make a lot of awkward compromises but I have not had to do that. My use-cases are probably atypical but I've been able to set up this phone to do anything and everything that I want and need to do with it and altogether it honestly works better - a lot better in every way that matters to me - than my prior Samsung-on-Android phone that it replaced.
I know a few people who would buy those.

Android Open Source Project brings us GrapheneOS (which I'm using right now), LineageOS, e/OS/, CalyxOS, DivestOS, HavocOS, iodeOS, and probably some others I haven't discovered yet
Linux phones are almost usable as well, and not only are they bringing us a new breed of phones, Linux phones are also bringing true "convergence" where your phone is also your computer, and can be docked to a keyboard, mouse and monitor. Linux phones run ARM Linux desktop apps out if the box.
I run the ooen source Linux PinePhone on T-Mobile no problem at all.

Aux regards des réponses centralisées on pourrait avoir une base pour affiner jusqu'à retrouver certaines perles cachées (un tamis en quelques sorte). Non seulement dans ce type de process et non aide c'est juste une manière de retrouver certaines personnes très compétentes qui ne n'exprilebtv très rarement à la 1re première personne surtout en public Donc Maya vous de pourriez par exemple aider et puis rappeler par ce biais le principe de l'open -source afin d'éviter que certains ne puissent penser qu'ils seront sur des opportunités d'emplois rémunérés

"we" implying what - you are personally interested in financially funding the dev? i am not but please do should you find someone you wish to tether yourself to going forward forever in a stakeholder system. sounds like a nightmare to me. i think the point is: if jack is interested in the process himself, i was supportive with providing an idea, but he should want to develop it, genuinely. otherwise - he should stop focusing his attention on what he doesn't enjoy and falling prey to forever stake and endless "support" schemes which entrap his time and finances. etc etc. :).
