Let's do a thought experiment for a bit, assuming Odell had realized that going Nostr only was either too soon or a strategic mistake or both, would you have rather he continued down a path that he knew was not the right one? Is he not allowed to change his mind because he is has a big account with many followers? If you do have evidence of the grift, please do share so that we're all informed about the wolves in sheep clothing in our midst. Just curiously asking questions like you said we should do.
i was never much of a fan of twitter anyway and after so many of my follows talking about it i came across. i went back one time, made one fairly innocent post and got
lol. suspended. so then i just never bothered again.
anyway, people who aren't here from what i understand after musk bought it, nostr got shadowbanned. so there is that also. maybe on odells pods he could have helped people from x learn about nostr but ultimately the odds of someone coming from x without having friends who are here, or like, on signal or telegram, the funnel is thin. and the opensats/hrf funding of bitcointwitter clones have kept nostr not interesting outside of bitcoin community anyway.

A lot of them have grown inpatient with the rate of adoption and instead of doing the hard work to promote P2P commerce they started looking for short cuts like Wall Street adoption and expanding use cases beyond P2P electronic cash. At the same time they keep moving the goalposts for themselves. They talked about 100k Bitcoin for years and when that was in reach they decided it has to be a million dollars per Bitcoin. They've given up on freedom money and they'll accept any compromise as long as they believe it will result in them looking richer on paper. In other words they've all sold their souls and turned into fake duplicitous shills who pay lip service to freedom but really just want corporations to pump their bags.
