Iran has been at war with the US since 1979 and has supported terror that has killed Americans. A nuclear Iran is a threat to Americans. We should do what we can to eliminate that threat. Dithering while nuclear Armageddon awaits is not rational policy.

I have no idea how I would personally verify the state of Iran's nuclear program but I do know that 1) the people who are warning us about it have lied about just about everything else and 2) funding wars is a great way to get on the wrong side of a whole lot of people.
