Im building a Bitcoin shipping network with @Shadrach We are looking for vendors to get on board. Using our system, vendors can aggregate all monthly orders, ship once, and distribute to bitcoiners across the usa every month. Shipping data and tracking all included. Leverage economies of scale while servicing individuals. Save everyone time and sats. Vendors let me know if you're interested in finding out more and joining us for the beta. Pls tag any and all Vendors who might be down! @Oshi (推し) @Great Ghee @Small Batch Steve @kidwarp @Satoshi Coffee Co. @Otis Bitmeyer @npub12pl4...42wq @Ben Justman🍷 @Foxfire Mushrooms @The Bullish ₿itcoiner @Artisan Regenerative Traditions @Yojimble @Jimble's Jumble @npub1swee...ns6h @Bitcoin Beans @Delgado's Fuego @Arotags @beejay @CraftCanna

We can certainly use some dev skills/guidance. Need to develop the dashboard/website which sits in the middle as a coordinating hub. We have an alpha product ready on the shipping side and we are working with #takemysats for the pilot.
For sure, I think it can change the game. Right now we are paying for shipping every time someone places an order from a vendor. What if instead we paid one price, and shipped ALL goods on a rolling monthly basis. Added bonus, we can likely activate the gig economy and get plebs paid for hauling goods between our warehouse hubs/local meetups
I'm down. Is this essentially a bitcoin/nostr version of Amazon? Where vendors are shipping large amounts of product to a centralized location and then it's distributed to the individual customers from that location?
Sorta yeah. The idea is that we sacrifice 2 day shipping but save a ton of sats for everyone across the board. Meetups guaranteed to get a huge shipment of ordered goods from across the USA every month. Vendors will get orders individually as normal but can choose to get a monthly summary so you can pack all at once. You get your goods to a designated ambassador near you and a driver will pick it up. They continue along the route dropping off bulk orders at designated areas and individuals pick up their goods.
For vendors it boils down to: 1) instead of ordering to your home, individuals have a dropdown option at checkout to use our service and they designated an ambassador location for pickup (think Amazon locker). 2) individual orders get aggregated, sorted by destination. 3) on a rolling monthly basis, you pack and get the goods to a designated ambassador in your region, doesnt matter which. You can ship to them or drop it off irl. 4) we have a coast to coast loop that can be completed once a month. Regardless where you are on the loop, your goods get picked up once a month and are dropped off at each destination.
I'm down to play around with this. I've been experimenting with bulk shipments to buds who distribute via meetups and it's been working well. Let's chat.
Yeah would love to chat about this more. Im on signal, keet, or telegram or can jump on hivetalk.org for a call. We will soon need data from vendors to identify further customer hotspots Next stage will be to talk to meetup organizers in our identified regions. We aim to target meetup organizers as the ambassador to start. Would love to get connected with the meetups that are already implementing a distribution-via-meetups model.
🔥🔥🔥 At the moment we need three things... 1) vendors willing to be a part of yhe PoC and activate our shipping option when its ready to go 2) data related to where you ship from and generally where you ship to most often. We are working on identifying where we need ambassadors. For POC we want to concentrate specifically where majority vendor's customers are at. 3) what do your volumes look like? For larger vendors we want to set up Ambassadors near your ship-from location.
Our network is entirely bitcoiners only, end to end. The problem is that means we are small individual vendors selling to individual customers. No economies of scale on the shipping side. The primary benefit and game changer here is we (small vendors and individual customers) can take advantage of economies of scale while still allowing individual orders (no need to organize a group buy) by aggregating orders across the month and across all vendors on the back end. We essentially incur a single monthly cost for everyone combined and distribute that savings across the entire network. Customers sacrifice 2-day shipping for bulk orders shipped on a monthly rolling basis at a much lower cost.

Sadly, it's ot going to work for me, even if I had the monthly volume. I just never have my product sitting around more than a couple of days after I make it. My promise has always been that. Happy to support an initiative like this, but it's unfortunately not one size fits all.
