@HODLSure if a protest becomes violent it should be shut down, but I seem to remember Florida was shutting down protests if they say bad things about Israel or Jews even without any actual actions. That's where I see this headed.

Free speech is not being allowed to say anything but having a right to enforce your own rules on your own property. If you say something I don't like I will kick you out of my property, easy as.

If they are violent or causing damage to private property, they are absolutely illegal and should be thrown in jail. Peaceful protests are good, as long as they dont block traffic, because then they infringe on the rights of others.
Imo govt should not be funding universities. The students should pay, or they should get private scholarships. University education is not a right. Govt funding is what makes them so expensive in the first place.

Unfortunately, as we saw at the Jan 6 protests, the govt can infiltrate a peaceful protest and turn it into a violent affair, the violence being done by the infiltrators. Thats why i wont participate in one.

That is not an illegal protest, that is property destruction and violence. Protests are legal in the USA. Calling them illegal is like saying anarchy is violence.
All land is rented from the state (you pay tax on it, with a few exceptions), and states are extensions of the feds, so your argument says there is no free speech in the USA.
Everybody knows that he is referring to anti-Israel protests. Violence is not a protest, and conflating them is the same psyop as calling anarchy violence.
