There are many things I love about this network and the predominant type of people who use it now. Absolutely I feel better mentally compared to when I was on twitter every day. If you think funny people and content aren't important for growing this network though, you are insane. Sorry.
I mean, yes, but I get sent or shown many videos and posts from people on (name your platform) that make me laugh. Legitimately I don't think I have ever laughed at something on nostr that wasn't a meme posted by ser sleepy.
I never used TikTok or Instagram, but I used Twitter for news and to read discussions on stuff I am interested in, not to laugh. Valid point though, wasting time when bored does seem to be a prime use case on other platforms.

Im sure funny people are here somewhere, but other platforms are mostly frictionless to get desired content. Nostr has quite a bit of friction for personalized content delivery that you wont feel on the others.
You’ve made the point tho: outrage, anger, fear, and a bunch of stupid β€œhumor” thrown in fuels the big social media platforms. It’s also been said that humor and horror are two sides of the same emotional coin. So you’re arguing to have Nostr do exactly what the platforms do, which will be impossible because you have retards on here like me refusing to engage in that kind of craziness.
Your premature judgment comes as insincere. You almost make it seem like you care about Nostr but you are just disguising your demand to be entertained by funny people and content. Everyone can see through it and that’s reason you are just getting sarcasm. Why don’t you show us your wit for a change instead of acting entitled?
I'm about it. Bring the friction. It's a highway to hell and a stairway to heaven for a reason.
I knew it! There's no way somebody finds Ser Sleepy's memes funny. Consider reaching out to rizzful's marketing department next time instead

Recently at a funeral, people were going up to share their stories and such. The son was also up there giving his thanks to each person. An older gentleman went up and said "I don't have much to say. Just a word." He paused and took a breath. "Plethora." "Thank you," said the son. "That means a lot."
Search the #memes & #memestr tags. You’ll find all kinds of twisted (and wholesome) humor. You can do it, just will take some work to find them. I laugh out loud multiple times daily looking at my feed

Everyone should laugh at fat guys with mullets for sure πŸ’― πŸ˜ƒ. It should be made into a law or something, because everyone likes to follow those fukin' things πŸ˜‚
I kinda get OP's point. Nostr feels way more "serious" than other social media. I'm part of the problem in that I usually respond to political posts with snark and sarcasm. I can probably be a bit more lighthearted sometimes. Or whatever and GFY 😁
I'm trying! And... this is an example... not a sales click. in fact. I won't even leave the link becasue I can't figure out the bitcoin pay system yet... but image
