I have a sudden urge to add stories with nip59 private likes to damus. Its the only thing that can kill my instagram addiction.
Just need to build a blossom server with expiring data. Should scale quite well.

The bloat issue…
No nostr client needs to use up multiple gbs of storage space…
Between yesterday when I last checked to rn Damus gained 10 more gbs of space… it went from 15gb to 25gb.
yeah we’re fixing that. It’s a small configuration issue with the database where its holding onto old reader transactions and keeping multiple copies of the database. We had to push out the storage debugger/ui to find the issue so its been a process

Private likes would be huge for Nostr. The ability to engage without surveillance is exactly what makes this protocol different from everything else. Build it.
Its already supported in damus android, just no clients support sending them.. will add that
