Even Nostr is still widely misunderstood. People assume you can build stuff "on Nostr" as you would build a "dapp" (whatever that means) "on Ethereum". Platforms - of which Ethereum and the like are the culmination - are a mind virus that skews your whole world view. A "dapp" cannot logically be built "on a platform". It has to be a stand-alone app that you can self-host and which *uses* open protocols, such as Bitcoin and Nostr to interact with other apps. #[0]
