I fear the same thing. I think Samurai devs are in for many years of legal fighting even if they eventually get out of it. and they will need our support.
And as btc users, we that are holding keys should be prepared for multi-year periods where self-custody is illegal. Don't cave, perservere, keep your stacks private, spend regardless of your gov't (it's what the protocol is all about!)
The tornado cash case judge ruled that Fincen custody/self custody diatinction was not relevant to being a money service business.
The Samourai case feds argue that transfering data is custody or some convoluted nonsense like a knife maker is responsible for anything the knife does.
Bitcoin is Apex asset cuz it allows plebs and ultra poor access to most hardened money .. at practically zero txn fees and no entry barrier ..
