Is it a service for consumers or merchants ie who is paying?
Is it access to Bitcoin only products or is it for mechants?
Enough to make it worth your while. The scale!!
It’s for merchants!
two sats: It’d have to be 10x the value to cover switching costs. If you’re established on Shopify it’s not about out of pocket cost as much as turning the ship costs. Even if it’s turnkey, I would need to see 10x return as it’s not a big enough pain point to switch.
If you’re a startup it’s way less of a cost. Then features can be at a premium.
Appreciate the two sats. Haven’t thought about it like that. I think my target audience are the startups even though I do plan on adding some sort of import feature to make switching a little easier for those who want to.
I'd be interested in a $5/month starter plan like Shopify has.
There is a signal group for this 🤘
how does one join this signal group?
I've love to drop Shopify.
I really want to drop Shopify, but its proven difficult. shill me yours and I'll gladly test it.
there is always an interim middle ground and I'll talk about it at Bitfest.
The question is are you supporting on-chain payments or just LN?
What are the difficulties/roadblocks you’ve run into?
They are pretty obvious if you’ve built ecomm for a while but i am happy discuss offline in signal or simplex
The
@npub1gmmr...e2h0 Signal group rocks! We're moving to a NIP-29 closed group shortly here;
@Eric FJ 🪬⚡️ or I can get you in.
Cool thanks for your input.
I’m starting with LN but that doesn’t stop a merchant from doing on-chain if a customer wants to. I think BTCPay supports on-chain tho, and I plan to add that option as a payment processor.
Is a transaction fee based option also possible?
I’ve thought about this one. I don’t know how it would be enforced tho. Maybe possible if an NWC connection is required?
Or you could receive payments to your own wallet and then forward 99% to the merchant’s one
Nostr based ?
Hmm I’m a little reluctant to receive the merchant’s payments, but I’ll think about it more.
There will be #Nostr integrations.
I know at least one other Nostr marketplace requests a percentage of sales. Shopify has great shipping costs. Shipping integration would probably be essential.
#YESTR
Been thinking about this a lot and I look forward to building a good solution. Shoutout
@Oshi (推し) — got a lot of good ideas from here.

Nothing without Monero support
What… sign in with your email, put in your shipping address, and pay with monero? 🥸
Been thinking of this too for a while 😌
PS.. what’s your stack? Are you going to support liquid templating themes so it’s a drop in replacement??
Running Next.js + Postgres. I have thought about this a bit and do want to enable theme customization, but that might be later down the line. I’m focused on some cool integrations that I haven’t seen in other apps yet.
Would love to have you as an alpha tester if you’re down. Just zap this note below. 😎
