Those fuckin X blue checks… They were buying BTC way after it reached 10.000$ + They would say or do anything to pump their memes bags to get more $ and call that « quality Bitcoin signal ». Most of them do not own BTC or even are capable of managing their own private keys. Only using the word « Bitcoin » in tweets to attract more clueless ppl.

Your old content would be useful in educating, is there somewhere we can still pull it from or is it all just deleted?
I BACKED IT ALL UP. BROADCASTED IT ALL TO NOSTR BUT MOST RELAYS REJECT POST DATED EVENTS. ANYWAY I STILL HAVE IT. NOT SURE WHAT TO DO WITH IT.

And yet they still talk about you, people share video clips of your streams on X, and your words “Stay Humble and Stack Sats” are still reverberated there every single day. Satoshi-style.

I don’t get what’s so hard for these people to grasp. Like bro: creating an nsec takes 3 seconds tops. It would take them less time to create a Nostr “account” than it takes for them to whine & bitch on Twitter about how their favorite creators left a censurable platform Where’s the friction preventing them from joining Nostr and getting the same signal they liked. I don’t get it. Maybe it’s because I don’t have too many followers here, and didn’t have too many followers on twitter before I X’ed my account. Pun intended Convenience really is a mf.
The last sentence is correct. It may be uncomfortable to read, and/or you may not see it as your responsibility ( which is fair too ) but the reach is greater on Twitter. It is where the worlds collide. Here is preaching to the converted ( for lack of a better phrase. ) I only found my way into bitcoin after finding quality voices on Twitter circa 2018/19. That would be impossible today.

Yes, the “reach” is greater on Twitter. Depends on your incentives in posting anything, I guess. I’d argue talk is cheap, and in this instance by talk I mean posting both on Twitter and Nostr. Using nostr instead of Twitter and not in addition is the only way to really signal your views on which concept you’re really aligned with.

Leaving Twitter for the nostr only life IS the high-quality signal.
Boiling frog cope. My favorite quote from The Sword of Truth book series: "Because, Richard, many people must be ruled to thrive. In their selfishness and greed, they see free people as their oppressors. They wish to have a leader who will cut the taller plants so the sun will reach them. They think no plant should be allowed to grow taller than the shortest, and in that way give light to all. They would rather be provided a guiding light, regardless of the fuel, than light a candle themselves.”
Too few people understand doing things for the principle. Sure if Odell's goal is to get as many followers/listeners as possible, X is the better vehicle currently. But I know he's made it clear on numerous occasions that the point was the identity verification. People should be able to live free. Odell made the choice. And I respect that.

I am conflicted here. I sort of agree with the screenshot. Not having high signal Bitcoiners on X reduces the chances of new entrants to understand Bitcoin, Privacy, Security. Yes, eventually everyone will own BTC and Nostr might become a thing, it's not right now. You don't want to only spend time in a. echo chamber talking to the people on your side. Twitter was a MASSIVE influence on my BTC journey. If I hadn't followed Saif, Gigi, Odell, Adam Back, etc, I'm not sure I would have understood the depth of Bitcoin. Twitter led me to Podcasts, then books, then conversations, then realizing that a lot of people I initially followed in 2015-2016 were idiots and not really Bitcoiners and ultimately led me to Nostr. You have to meet people where they are and they are not on Nostr. Let's try and help each class of Bitcoin to get their bearings right. You only need to convince a few people from each class and the network organically grows.
GiGi & ODELL stay right where you're at on #Nostr it's way healthier for all of us with you both here instead of 🐦
Caleb is right. The founding fathers should have gone back to the UK to agitate for democracy there, they could have reached way more people. The Americas are almost empty anyways, the only people here don't even speak English. You don't even have roads!
I'd say the crabs in a bucket analogy applies perfectly here.. Odell: Bro I'm leaving the bucket to find and create a more beautiful world! Them: Noooo

I couldn't put my finger on why I disagreed with OP's point about the 100x reach until I saw this. 💯
So blu checks are running the crying bro psy-op, and Rogan’s limited hangout is running the💩coin psy-op. Sounds like the course is correct to me
He has somewhat of a point, but imho y’all have done your tour of duty and I don’t think many people have much appreciation for how exhausting it is. Sure, if one wants to go back to that shitheap of a war and battle it out with one retard after another while be actively gamed by the algorithm, I guess, but what’s really the point? Y’all have done your part and it’s understandable why you wouldn’t wanna scream into that void any longer.
It was not really one moment. It took a period of a few months. I joined Nostr in April of 24. After sometime I decided to try going without X for a month. I ended up going more than 30 days but ended up back on X and Nostr simultaneously. It was during that time period where I really "got it". Seeing the difference between X and Nostr side by side revealed to me how draining X was and how their Algo was destroying my mood. I deleted my X account in December 24.
