Interesting. I didn’t know that is what was happening “Budget neutral” was always vague in my mind. What did it mean? I would have never guessed it meant use the existing legal system to hammer a small startup for coinjoining and take their Bitcoin for the SBR Precedent therefore set for other spurious legal processes to gather Bitcoin for the government
Someone is winning If you don’t take an interest in politics, politics will take an interest in you.
Winning or losing is black and white thinking and with 8 billion+ individual actors in the global economy it's much more of a gradual process. In the end we have already won, because eliminating debasement theft is the biggest win against the rent seeking class in all of human history and sets humanity on a new trajectory of growth.

We need to become more rich to buy more politicians to make good laws so we can say we won. But first we need to get much more rich. Currently only 2-3% of wealth is in Bitcoin and Bitcoin based businesses. It has to be over 50% for us to win in democracy (maybe we can buy politicians sooner, but not much sooner).

Yeah, but if it is the rich people holding the Bitcoin they can keep it hard to afford a UTXO and make money off lightning fees.
It's a big loss in my opinion. What is the point of Bitcoin without privacy and freedom. What will happen when Bitcoin protocol will implement controversal privacy feature at its core?

Do powerful people desire to acquire and hold bitcoin? Yes……. bitcoin is winning.
Seems like these so-called "Samourai" didn't understand the Bushido Code where losing face is worse than death. True Samurai would have gutted themselves and allowed their heads to be taken before "pleading" guilt to a victimless crime they didn't even commit. A Samurai doesn't "plead" with anyone! They certainly wouldn't have handed over their private keys either, these Deb's were role playing at being Samurai, LARPing armchair warriors who buckled, bending the knee when it came time to die in a battle the invited upon themselves.
