Feminism opened doors but then turned into yet another pendulum that swung too far because some cnut could make a few more billion of us.
They all want the homestead family freedom but no one wants to pay the price. So they pay another price of horribly living a life they don't want. It's about renouncing and working and having no other priority. Then you can be free. Otherwise you just go with whatever shepherd says, cattle walk your life into that and then you complain on TV about "the system". Have you ever heard the word "NO"?
Imaginary people are stopping me from doing things I pretend I want to do. Who specifically is stopping her? No one. People who blame “society” are fucking deluded. There, I said it.

Hindsight is always 20/20, if you bother to look.

The older woman is perpetuating a victim consciousness. She isn't forced into anything. She may have committed to those lifestyle choices because of her desire for things she no longer desires, and now regrets them. It's OK, we all make stupid mistakes. But you can't address it until you own it. But in her case I strongly suspect that deep down she is generally content with being a slave in this system. The benefits really are good. Hot and cold potable running water straight out of a tap, electricity, and modern plumbing is an amazing luxury we all take for granted. She is expressing a desire for a different life. She is not expressing a decision to move to that life. You see this all the time in people and the distinction is important. Those who express a desire will never change, and energy is wasted on them until their language changes.
Must have the mental fortitude to wait until you have the money to have children and prosper, Or get stuck in the lifelong purgatory of working to own just enough to survive and continue working while having children looking at you lovingly, But as soon as you step off the treadmill everything falls apart.
She would love to be in a traditional relationship, got that. Just one question, though: did she ride the carrousel?

Yeah, she doesn’t ‘have to’ work the corporate gig. One can make sacrifices and live frugally. It’s all a choice.
Uuuummm, no. Agree to disagree. Being a single, free, unmaried working woman with no kids fucking rocks! Quit blaming society for all your problems. Wanna be a house wife, go find yourself a husband who's into that shit.
She's fallen for the lie that you can't have a ton of kids. Be SILKs like my wife and I. S - Single I - Income L - Lotsa K - Kids
