when a cult leader already controls their thoughts, everything he does will feel like self-expression to them wether it’s anarchy or central planning

Everyone likes their brand of fascism
Everyone likes central planning It’s only an issue when the planning is done by force or by people that down own the assets they are using for the planning
I've noticed that all movies and TV shows today end with the protagonist being the one in charge. The fucking rebels in Strar Wars are now the cops! I thought the point of the series was to break free from the empire. Maybe I need to rewatch Firefly.

The advantage of decentralisation is that everyone gets to have their guy in charge; the advantage of centralisation is some get to have their guy in charge of even more.

This is the great thing about Heinlein's The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress: at the end, the anarchist professor acknowledges that they've ended up with a government in place of the warden, and then in books set later in the timeline (e.g., The Rolling Stones) we see that the government has grown and become more restrictive.

For as long as they don't have to plan for themselves, they will tolerate anyone willing to do the planning sadly.
