people should voice their concern over matter in the place where people gather on the town square , not in some hiding place like nostr where discovery still the problem . now they are talking about Digital ID on place , i assumed all of people who loves freedom will hurry to digital town square to talked or protest about it .

The whole town square thing is retarded. The world is full of many towns. There isn't just a single town with a single square where people go to discuss ideas. There never has been. It's a made up concept. The discussions and debates happen all over within a broader culture. Some online, some off, some on one platform, some on another.

You should also consider that some other places control who can say what on the alleged town square. Like X. Some people have been banned from that town square because they disagreed with some authoritatian. The entire idea is nonsense. If anything, Nostr is the closest thing to that being a reality.

it kinda feels like the only social media where it feels decent/good to post things as a regular ordinary person. tho the other social medias can be more entertaining to browse (in moderation) youtube seems to have developed into as close as you can get to a decentralized media production co.

itโ€™s great how the social medias have expanded who can be a performer / performance artist. Outside of the whole โ€˜eliteโ€™ Hollywood thing. But also, a lot of people still donโ€™t want to be performers at all.
