I've now been banned from the Knots Telegram channel by @Bitcoin Mechanic where I earlier today saw @npub1lh27...a9nk that he plans his fork being enforced because all mining pools who disagree with him will be thrown in jail. The debate is over. Enough is enough. These are attackers of the network willing to throw people in prison to exert their will on the network. If you don't explicitly reject their fork efforts and their actions you are actively complicit with a lawfare style take over of the Bitcoin protocol. image

I’m so tired of this debate. Both sides are behaving like children. Grow the fuck up and find middle ground. It’s going to spook newbies to see opaque debates like this from our tech community.
now that everyone knows the bip 444 people are a bunch of clowns and this is never going to get anywhere, can we go back to talking about activating new opcodes like CTV and CSFS?
are they saying they will contact the government on people to get them arrested or are they just assuming that the government will come after people on their own? i'm not really sure we can say from this screenshotted message
No it’s not. The middle ground should look something like their side abandoning the fork and your side publicly acknowledging that you should have listened to users and that Core 30 was handled wrong (even if some still believe it is technically correct). Set up a summit and try to resolve the issues and come up with a solution that doesn’t lead to a divide in the community.

Sure. I too can only hold one thought in my mind at the same time. It's a tough life for us.
This is getting into Craig Wright territory... So who's getting "arrested" here? Node operators? Miners? Just like, everyone?

Damn, Brian with the rational and reasonable approach? If these autistic Bitcoiners could read, they would be very glad right now. image
According to coretards if you warn someone that running a red light might get them a ticket you are making legal threats against them.
Because it feels like a veiled threat and if that’s the case I’m asking you to own it. If I have misunderstood then I’d like you to clarify because I take someone threatening my family extremely seriously and I hope that was not your intention. This is not an anonymous account. I wrote a book with my name on the cover. Your comment is a reference to my last name. If we have a problem, let me know. I am hopeful it was just me misunderstanding your reference but I don’t fuck around when it comes to the safety of my wife and children.

Contentious change…changed the default of a relay setting. Lmao. Do you even node bro?

Inside the walls there is nothing but csam. No room for mold.
that's how they always start, at the beginning they say that it is optional to use that, only to later make it mandatory again by spoiling or destroying the alternatives, just look at the UK, which according to the digital ID would be optional just to start fining, limit their work options and freeze their accounts if they don't do what they say.

You can build consensus with anyone’s that’s the whole point of an adversarial network.

When your forks survival depends on the state jailing your enemies you are truly running the freedom money!
Correct. GH is horrible. Would love a nostr impl. Gated but readable relay for Core so maintainers and contributors can discuss but also the events can be published elsewhere for disucssion in a less moderated forum.
No, spammers and scammers need to be rugged. It's retarded to build consensus with them unless you want to see bitcoin more as a data storage than money
You're a troll that spreads disinformation and makes personal attacks. Why are you surprised about getting anned from group chats?

It’s data storage that is at most 4mbs every 10minute for 6k bucks. Relax.
Also yeah this has been the concern, if you put childporn on the blockchain, node runners will get arrested for hosting childporn. Simple
When enough pedophiles run cor 30 and childporn gets put on chain the FBI or whoever is responsible in your country will start making arrests. Because it's illegal to host childporn. Childporn is illegal. Pretty simple.
They are saying that people who host childporn online will get targeted by the police because it's illegal to host childporn online
Middle ground between bitcoiners and pedophiles who want to turn Bitcoin into a cp hosting service? Daubt
Banning pedophiles who intentionally threaten bitcoin by trying to turn it into a childporn hosting service
The only "lawfare" threats are coming directly from coretard pedophiles. Warning people that helping pedophiles store their childporn on nodes will result in arrests of node runners is a helpful warning not a threat. Threatening to have people imprisoned or sued for talking shit about core is the "lawfare" but honestly no retard who uses that term should even be taken seriously

When you don’t understand the technology but can’t help yourself from making everything moral issue when it’s clearly a technological one.
Glad to hear it. I’d rather look like an ass for overreacting online than risk my families safety so I appreciate you clarifying even if it was followed with an unnecessary insult.

When you just can't figure out how to convince people to accept a change to Bitcoin, that doesn't do any good for Bitcoin, and allows for easy storage of porn on the blockchain. I feel ya man. That's a tricky one. I guess just tell them they aren't technical or smart enough to understand?
They’re either lacking conviction or don’t hold Bitcoin since they won’t put any Bitcoin on the line, even though that is literally 100% what determines if a fork is successful or not. If people sell one fork and buy the other, game over. Just reality you have to put your money whether your mouth is or your fork fails. The economic majority wins.

Sweet! so this core 30 change means nothing. You have your preferred relay policies. What’s the problem?

A change? It’s a relay policy default calm down. A change is what bip-444 is attempting

Yeah, a change. An unwarranted, unwanted change that doesn't help Bitcoin. I'll keep my temper were it is, thanks dad.

The guy has mastered speaking out of both sides of his mouth.
Fed jacketing is typically used by as a tactic to discredit people when bad actors fail to find valid reasons to discredit them. Blackrock corporation bribes a bunch of core Devs to push an update that allows childporn on chain, in order to get node runners arrested and centralise control over the blockchain. Luke created an alternative client that does not allow people to upload childporn. Now anonymous accounts are all copy pasting the same statements and accusing Luke of being a fed. Pretty fucking obviously these anonymous accounts are either just useful idiots helping Blackrock without realising, or pedophiles who want to turn Bitcoin into a childporn hosting service.
More projection from "unknown" The fact he called you a faggot suggests that he is exclusively attracted to little boys
The blockchain without the childporn will retain the title of Bitcoin. Core30pedospamcoin will be worthless the moment it forks
It's actually the core30 pedos who are constantly threatening to use the police against people. All Luke is doing is warning y'all that if you host childporn the police will arrest you because get this. Childporn is illegal
You want to host childporn on chain. This is a moral issue, you totally lack morals. You are either a pedophile or you're an enemy of bitcoin because those are the only two reasons to support core 30
Enemies of Bitcoin and pedophiles who want to change Bitcoin to host childporn are actually enemies of Bitcoin
Ah yes the pedophiles think it's funny. "And now the bitcoiners are going to prison so that I can get better access to childporn"

You can host anything you want on Bitcoin today that you could 6 months ago. You are being dramatic.

This argument would make sense if there was any real difference to what can and can’t be done with Bitcoin before and after core 30…but there isn’t so it’s just you showing your ass and telling everyone how technically inept you are.
Then set up a futures market, they can be structured as sharia compliant. Otherwise image

Today, thanks to Core v30. You can host more of what you want (that is not money) on Bitcoin, and you can do it much simpler, and it's a default change. These three differences make all the difference. Oh...and why was that change made?
Baerson's avatar
Baerson 1 month ago
It has made sense since I started. Core v30 introduced a relay poilcy change that no one wants, that allows people to store things on chain that are not money. That's bad for Bitcoin because Bitcoin is money. It's bad for node runners because that same change not only allows other things to be stored on chain that are not money (like CSAM), but it makes it easier to do so, and makes it the default state. We want to keep Bitcoin as money. We don't want porn or other shit on chain. Not a lot of technical depth required.

Oh you are starting to catch on that I’m ignoring your retarded commentary. You don’t understand the under lying technology enough to talk about it and you have no respect for the nature of permissionless networks.
