If a guy has an unattractive face, like 75% of the time he can fix it with a beard. That’s why a lot of guys in their 50s and 60s end up looking better than they did in their 30s and 40s- they grow a beard. I saw an old politician on a news clip yesterday and didn’t even recognize him at first because he had a beard. Looked better than he did decades ago. Happens almost every time. Anyway, good morning.

Once he hit his 40s, yeah. Earlier he was in the phase where it can go either way. If a guy has an unusually strong jaw (eg Brad Pitt), then the age with which it can go either way tends to be greatly extended.
Beards are usually good period, on classically attractive and less classically attractive men. Classically attractive men just pull off the no beard look better; in other words they have more options. Like Brad Pitt is going to be handsome whatever he does whereas a guy with a weaker chin or a double-chin can often get an instant boost with a beard. Nature gave him an optional chin-shield for a reason.
lol some comments are thinking I am saying beards are for the ugly. No. Beards usually look good. Generally, good-looking guys look good with or without a beard, whereas if someone has some weakness to the face that they don’t like, and beard usually gives them an instant boost. It’s an optional chin-shield, and for some people it makes a bigger difference than others.

I disagree. I am NOT into facial on men, especially beards. Ick. Think of all the food crumbs! 🇬🇧George Michael looked sexy with a bit of facial hair but otherwise, it’s a total TURN OFF for me!
That's why I've never completely shaved my beard since I was 20 😂
It's an easy hack to look older. I struggled with Babyface until my mid 30s when I finally grew out my facial hair. Honestly, the more consequential thing for guys looking good is not being fat and muscle mass in that order.

Excellent beard man 🤙
I had a beard for a few years until I realized I looked better without one 🤷‍♂️ You don’t put a bumper sticker on a Bentley, or something like that.

I think 🇬🇧Neil Gaiman may have facial hair and it looks good on him. But I’m personally just NOT into facial hair on men. If a guy is camping or something, it’s fine. But otherwise, I do NOT find it attractive.

Oh ok. Yes, I agree. It’s a personal preference/taste on what a person likes in what they find physically attractive. I don’t like it. Also have sensitive skin so it’s a practical thing.

No, I wouldn’t! I would make a fantastic, thoughtful, sweet bf tho if I were a guy.
He comes from the city I live in/next to, there's a street in Southsea named after one of his books - I never realised he was a local till a few years back and only discovered him when he worked with Terry Pratchett. Class bloke.

Thanks for zap. Oh that’s cool! I actually know 🇬🇧Neil. He’s a very lovely and kind person. Great writer and human being. Haven’t see him in years tho.
That's awesome, and really cool to know he's appreciated by people that have actually met him - with a sense of humour like he has I should have thought he'd be a great guy to spend an evening at the pub with
Yeah. We ugly chicks with just a mustache can go to hell. But some guys grow a beard just to actually look like a grown-up 🤷🏻‍♀️ image

Agree, I think 🇬🇧Neil would be a jolly fellow to share a pint with at a pub. Very wise! Cider for me tho. 🇬🇧Neil Gaiman and I’ve never had a drink together (yet), but he did send an old 🇬🇧 friend to 🇬🇧London to help me cuz I was in a jam. I think there was alcohol at a private afterparty we were both at, can’t recall. 🇬🇧Neil is a wonderful, kind, lovely human being! And very interesting. He’s a Helper. I’d obvi definitely invite him to FAB soirees in near future. I think you and I’d also enjoy sharing a drink at a cozy pub. I get along very well with the Brits! So polite! Thankfully, no smoking allowed in them anymore!

Would be really unlucky losing the genetics lottery on both fronts: having an unattractive face and the inability to grow a beard. 🤣

Well, Lyn, I was bearded when I was younger but in the past few years the beard turned gray and I don’t want to look like my grandpa… so no beard anymore.
Ohhh no... This is where I'm a stereotypical Asian woman: no facial hair plz!! Almost always men look better to me without facial hair. But I'm afraid this note of Lyn's is gonna encourage more Bitcoiner guys to grow beard if they didn't before... View quoted note →
The army made me shave every day so now days I have a beard just because I can. I've had to keep it trimmed short the last few months though because I've been working in a restaurant a few days a week. image
Effet de mode, mais il y a barbe et barbe, 😂l'essentiel est qu'elle pique 🗽🙏 bonne journée et surtout merci

GM And what’s about the Girls?🤭💜🧡
Wondering about all the beard-haters, sort of, in the comment. Isn't a beard a normal, natural feature on a man's face? A person who dislikes my well-grown and groomed beard can sod off. They don't deserve me if they don't respect how I am and the choice I made with my body. I've grown a beard since I was 18, one of the best decisions I've ever made. Fortunately enough most people I know like my beard. Some even tell me to not shave! Hats off to all fellow bearded plebs out there. Be proud. #asknostr #plebchain View quoted note →
Most women I have met don't care about men's money. They can make their own. What women want is security, warmth and companionship. Looks and money dont matter as much the older you get. The competition is also not a problem, as most people are selfish assholes
Beards are just the result of a lack of shaving. In that way, they are the opposite of makeup, which requires effort to put on.
