I 💜 #nostr knowing my heroes are here at this exact moment, during a social platform & monetary revolution, reiterates the answer to my “why I’m here - meaning of life” 21million sat question. To be a simple brick, at a foundation level, for a protocol that will survive Millenia is FREEDOM ON A LEVEL UNFATHOMABLE to most! 😎🧡💜
ABOUT AS DUMB AS inches, feet, miles, lbs, ounces, etc… Oh yeah, and as dumb as worldwide taxation, because Americans are tax slaves for life no matter where you move

Not just America
It's different the further north you go. Summer daylight is super long and if we don't spring ahead, it gets daylight around 4:30am! I'd rather stay at the spring ahead time all year and suffer the extra darkness in the winter mornings. But then kids go to school in the dark which has its safety concerns.
Puerto Rico doesn't change the time which makes it even weirder. Half the year I'm at the same time as the east coast and half the year there is an hour time difference. So dumb.

Forget fiat time, it’s all about block height now.

How about a block height to UTC datetime conversion tool ? I could quickly hack something together.
International Fixed Calendar was used by Kodak… “By 1928, Kodak had implemented Costworth's calendar and Eastman himself took on the responsibility of promoting it to the world on his dime.” “Favored by leaders in transportation and logistics, the International Fixed Calendar was a favorite of Kodak founder George Eastman, whose company used it until 1989.”
True, like any other attempt to make our lives worse, sick and weak.

What's really retarded is that Europe does it too just at different times. Theres no standard when it comes to daylight savings. Talk about a shit coin
I love Daylight Savings (what we call it in Australia). I hate when it comes off and then it’s dark when I get home from work. Seems your whole day is gone. With Summer Time on, you get home and still have 2-3 hours of daylight to live a little.

It would be more retarded to change it just once a year. 🫂

Aren’t we just changing the reference frame rather than the measurement?
You do realize the rotation of the Earth does not depend on how you set your clock, right? You could just start and leave work an hour earlier
Reporting in as well! I don't care what angle the sun appears to be from my current perspective. I care about representing time consistently and unambiguously.
Yes but you have to fit in with what society accepts as the time. You can’t always get to the office an hour earlier and leave an hour before everyone else does. That wouldn’t fly.
