For fucks sake fountain. I would love to join your platform, but your registration process is fucked. Tried contacting you, but alas still no response. I think I've wasted no joke about 18 hours on just trying to troubleshoot your broken sign up process.
Your auto response email was also just as reassuring as throwing my support request ticket into the trash bin. Then you saying to my face don't worry. We might look into it before cleaning out the trash bin, but our cleaning lady probably doesn't have the time, or resources to.
You are expanding too fast without having the proper resources to manage a backlog of bug fixes and customer support messages. Going full stream ahead when your fountain is broken.
If you can't handle the volume of support cases. Please try reaching out to the FOSS community and being more publicly open with your development and testing. You will find the volunteer support you need to fix what is broken too.
Build the support infrastructure that is needed to actually thrive. Don't just slap duct tape on it, ignore the problems, and try to do it all yourself in house. A project like this needs more people involved who can help you to succeed.

Took me ten minutes to sign up to fountain.. but that was two years ago. So probably missed the wave of new users.. 🤣

Spotify only have the power we give them with music.
I have have told the lads in the office who have a band to get their music up on your platform. 5years on Spotify and they have made bugger all. They have really loyal following so I’m sure will earn some sats if they take the plunge. This article will hopefully help pursued them it’s a solid route to go

May have worked back in the day. Sometimes it randomly works for people too. Most of what I hear is headaches and heartbreaks from people that try.
Overall it is an app that is half broken for some people and works flawlessly for others. While many people are left over suffering through infinite loops with error codes during the registration process. Without any success.
They have too much to handle and not enough staff to do it right now. So they are either going to get overwhelmed from popularity, and/or crash and burn due to bugs that never get acknowledged or fixed.

Streams. Might be time to convince them to put our stuff on Wavlake.

Notice how Fountain is lumping themselves in with Wavlake. Probably because the lion’s share is Wavlake and fountain total is paltry.
Not only did they just wholesale copy Wavlake but they’re not even transparent about this. I guess I can’t expect much from a team that thinks closed source KYC wallets are the way.

There's no KYC to add Sats to fountain. And honestly, who cares if they copied functionality. In the end, the musicians and the listeners win by having more choice.
