Looks great π
Cool! I recently discovered this website and it is very useful. π«Ά
Looks great!
@Derek Ross need to get your favicon updated for
@npub1us9u...q4g0 Not sure where the logo is pulling from π€
Here is the criteria as per
@HoloKat :
Criteria is that it works and you can use it without following steps in GitHub to install :) bonus if it looks presentable.
Clicking submit app sends you to a GitHub full of code.
Wrong.
π€·ββοΈ this is what I see when I click submit. what do you by Wrong? π

I feel like this could to be merged with nostr.org somehow.
I just tried it π
Unless he is taking me too literally with the word βGitHubβ I guess this isnβt a GitHub page π
I guess ur wrong even tho ur right π
Canβt argue with the CEO π
& that makes him right on u being wrong even tho ur right π
Never!! Thatβs our lord & savior π«
Nostr apps is a search term for normies and nostrapps.com ranks first for this term. Keep for seo value
Good point
Exactly.
linked to it, imo
That's a good criteria.
Ill be more precise when working with you next time π
ππ
It was offensive.
Writing sometimes does come out that way even thought it wasnβt meant to. I thought I was helping.
How do you prefer to receive feedback?
logo is bland, ux is uninviting to the common individual. need something to send to my friends that isnβt cringe
There used to be categories on mobile. I agree, logo is meh π
I remember! You did a fine job considering you have so much on your plate for nostr.
What exactly is uninviting?
I think it looks clean
All black and white and not a fan of the font choice and format on my phone, which is where people will use it the most probably. I still tell people to go to nostr.how due to its inviting ux. I love nostr.apps as a concept just needs some tweaks to the format of the listing of apps and color/font scheme
simple changes, also as i stated before, logo is bland. minimalist ux and design is so silicone valley bro core.
outdated and cringe.
but again, karnage does a lot for nostr and is one of the only remaining designers on here. he did a great job for having so much to do for us.
Iβm curious what design style you consider not so silicone valley bro core?
Iβm going to have to put hand up and say I really appreciate the clarity of this design, especially on mobile (where, yes, I use it most)
At its heart, itβs a curated collection of very disparate icons and brand identities - all of which it allows me to see, navigate and engage with beautifully
I also find the actual sorting and navigation UX unusually clear and understandable
For me, anything more busy or colourful for the core structure, in fact anything asserting a busier separate identity of its own, would be difficult and distractingβ¦
What apps are not cringe?
Github issues.
What are these things?
No, it wasn't really offensive, I was kidding.
What I'm saying is that it was offensive that you compared my very humble handcrafted git code hosting service with GitHub, proprietary Microsoft shit that serves the interests of the globalist elites.
Lord & Savior, Forgive us; for we do not know what we are doing π
You definitely don't.
If you are definitely⦠does that mean I have a chance?

Despite all the "ZOMG TOO BLAND! WE NEED SHINY!" people, I like the website just fine. It does what it is supposed to do.
View quoted note β
Website view on mobile: is it possible to somehow group via categories (similar as to desktop site)?
Yes, but if I did it by myself it would kill the design. Also I think mobile users deserve to suffer.
on behalf of all mobile users gfy
Except this one πββοΈ
Why Mike WHYYY
just tell him gfy
he will appreciate it, he is a man of culture & freedom protocols, he understands
Dam youβre good:
OK
GFY
on behalf of all who hate cattle tags, gfy yourself
you donβt have to add βyourselfβ after gfy.. the βyβ stands for that
so it sounds like itβs a stutter inside my head when Iβm reading it
Sir, don't correct him like you know his usage of gfy! Gfyy yourself!
there is a pause between them hence the space... or did i write a comma, should have been a comma
yes, ok, correction:
gfy, yourself
I shouldβve asked for his pronouns
that wouldβve been a good indicator!
gfy moarrr
you may refer to me as Sir, Your Lordship, and My Man
My man
πππ
Well done! Great work π€
Report a problem. After clicking on the Google search Freerse result, a problem occurs: "404 page not found". It should be because the URL subdomain address has been changed. It may cause problems with all Nostr App SEO results.
Previous address:
https://nostrapps.com/apps/freerse
Current address:
https://nostrapps.com/freerse
Fixed.
Primal desktop should be added (unless it's there and I missed it somewhere?)
Thanks, it's back to work.

soooo you just canβt do it, or donβt know how.
would love to be proven wrong. and kill what design? there is no design fr. at least on mobile, you wouldnβt know that tho.
?
Proven wrong about what?
Being able to fix the mobile view of nostr apps. Would help! Are you just not able to? Donβt know how to?
I know how to.
i'ii take that gfy & raise U 5 gfy's
if you know how, why refuse to do it? you probably donβt know how to do it.
Hey Roya, could you post a picture of something that you think would be a better style, like an existing logo as an example of a good design?
Yeah, we need that page
Sir, market is empty :(
Can you add market.nostr.com and plebian.market
Or something similiar. Can it not pull from some json we can all share?
there is a nip for listing apps with ratings, but i guess people would rather curate a static page/git markdown π
The json can live on a repo
Thereβs a lot of value in curation and not just listing all the shit under the sun
A json on a repo would also be curated, and by more people
Cool. Not against it. But if the plan is to list all the apps based on ratings then youβll have a bunch of broken content. This is why I curated it in the first place. But yeah it shouldnβt be a job for one person, too much to keep up with
shopstr.store as well!
Yes. Can you please send me screenshots, URLs, short description and a brief list of features?

patch sent (new category with its icon + new project that's not a nino, useful to the gaming scene).
DEG Mods - Liberating Game Mods
Looks pretty good and useful. I don't fully understand it, but will add once it's working.
What is the general idea and how does it benefit from being on Nostr?
Thanks =3
The core functions of the project is working and live (Nostr login, publishing game mod posts, viewing the posts, and viewing a list of published game mods). That's why I submitted the project today.
More features/systems, as well as replacing those placeholders, will be added over time.
To answer your questions...
# # Gist answer
Video game mods and their creators are being censored and banned on mainstream hosting and discovery platforms, as a result, DEG Mods, being built on Nostr, solve this issue by not being able to censor or ban mods and mod creators.
# # Normal answer
# # # Here's what generally happens in the video games market:
1. A video game gets released.
2. Some people with some dev skills modify the game, packages it, and shares it with the public so that they can download and install said modifications to enjoy the game in this modified state.
So we have game mod creators and game mods.
# # # Here's the issue that promoted the creation of DEG Mods:
1. When a mod creator wants to share their creation, they'd create an account on main-stream game mod hosting sites, then upload their game mod there so that others can discover it and download it.
2. Some of these mods get taken down by these mod discovery hosting sites, and ban the account of its creator, because of ideological reasons. Both parties, the mod creator and its consumers (gamers) are pissed.
3. Some potential solution sites were developed, but they were still built on top of centralized systems and still controlled with a small group of entities, with the potential of pushing their own ideological control.
4. DEG Mods came to solve all of these censorship issues by being built on top of Nostr. As a result, even I as the project's creator cannot take down a published game mod page nor 'ban' its creator, where I can only hide it from the site, yet it still can be accessible on it, and on other future forks of the project that may get released.
5. Considering that it's a Nostr project, even if a threat comes over and takes down the project (takes over the domain, repo, etc), so long as someone has a copy of the code, they can run the project locally and/or upload it to a different domain.
6. The extra benefits include:
6.1. Never losing the connection between mod creator and mod enjoyed (following each other).
6.2. Direct financial transfer between mod creator and mod enjoyers (Zaps)
7. DEG Mods doesn't host the video game mod files. Its creator uploads it wherever they want and they'd share the download link in the mod page/post in the appropriate field. In case the file gets deleted/censored, they'd simply upload it elsewhere and edit the published post with the new link. In the future, Blossom servers and/or better file-hosting solutions will be provided as an option.
That's about it for now (if you've read til here, thanks for reading!).
oh, and zaps work too, for the site and published mod posts (in regards to what I said after "Thanks =3", in the first paragraph).
How can I help here with out being a dev?
- tags are broken and there's many apps that no longer appear on their category.
- there's no OS filtering on mobile
- apps should link to their github too
An example of the 1st is that now there's 0 apps on the tools category. Also I don't see Habla or Highlighter on the writing category as I used to.
Tagging/categories used to be on point.
Happy to help and learn along the way. Is nostrapps open source? Maybe it can be a great starting project for me to contribute.
