Hey Nostr I’m Eugene Jarecki. I’ve spent three decades making films about things the system doesn’t want you to know. The drug war. The military-industrial complex. This year I finished a film about Julian Assange called “The Six Billion Dollar Man”. It won Cannes and a Golden Globe. But legacy media / streamers won’t touch it. Love the unique way in which you're finding a way around the gatekeepers 💜 Wish there was a cheaper tier ticket to the global watchparty for those of us who would gladly pay what owning a film used to cost but can't afford the 0.01 BTC with all the amazing additional perks. 🎟️ 👏 Anyhow, hope this movement grows to make it visible to everyone in this world that so desperately needs to see it. Good luck Eugene. A million sats is a bit too much to for me to watch a movie. I understand that there is more here than just watching a movie. Highly recommend using a tier approach. I may not paying 1 million sats, but I might pay 100K sats. I think 25K sats is fair. View quoted note →

You're right, this is a unique approach. It seems like they are circumventing "gatekeepers" and courting "elites" .01 BTC is laughably high. I think @Jessica Solce was much more realistic with her films

This first release is for people who want to help the film get widely distributed and be listed in the credits as founding members. If we’re successful then people will be able to watch it for much cheaper in the future, that’s the goal!
