I will never trade “safety” for “liberty”, why I traded “x” for “nostr”
As much as I appreciate the message, what they can do is force those apps that use app stores to add kyc verification in order to still be on the AppStore. It hits iOS way harder than Android or web based clients, and yes if you really want you can go around that as this is an open protocol, but it's not something we're fully untouched by.

then where are my options
just eliminate app store dependency PWAs help remember when computers were "personal"? now they're corporatized... that's the weak point
Statist jiu jitsu will intensify. And there will continue to be a bifurcation: the people who value their freedom will adapt with decentralized tech while those that don't will accept ALL the terms and conditions
In theory, individual relays and individual clients could comply with this order (or tell them to GFY), but due to the openness and decentralization of the protocol, there would never be mass compliance. And that's the cool part. In a permissionless system, you can do or not do whatever you want. The choice is yours. View quoted note →
run your relay instance, clients will be banned from app stores, they will need to move zapstore and others.

Their concern is to control the information the broad masses get, not the 0.001% who are able to circumvent it. Nostr is a non-issue to their plans.
