How does live streaming on Nostr work? Is it simply a event type link to an external server?

When you go live, we publish an event to Nostr relays which says where to go to watch your stream. That can be hosted anywhere, for example our server or any other RTMP server you want to use. Then your followers can chat with you by sending you Nostr messages while you are live on the stream.
