True ✓ but real wisdom is knowing that positive thinking isn’t about ignoring pain, it’s about refusing to let it define you!

Absolutely! A positive mindset really changes everything.
Cold showers, too. I don‘t know about the ‚telling yourself that you have it so good because it could be worse‘-thing. Because you can apply it to any situation. But I see myself do that from time to time.
The key to happiness is DOING hard work ( all waking hours ) without any expectations ! Pure proof of work. The moment we attach desires to actions , it turns into pain . But even bigger pain awaits if one doesn't readily indulge in actions .. for we will always be forced into actions no matter what ! #bhagavadGita
I have found that practicing gratitude helps in my relationships. If I tell myself and the people in my life what I appreciate about them I feel closer to them and they reflect back what I tell them I appreciate. Eventually people start telling me what they appreciate about me which guides me to be better at supporting their needs too. It’s a virtuous cycle. Sometimes when things are dark it’s hard to find the thing you appreciate, but if you dig you can find something in almost every person you interact with that makes them stand out. View quoted note →

Happiness doesn’t come from thinking positive. It comes from facing reality head-on and choosing to build anyway.

Glass half full 😜
It's not just wishful thinking. When you reach for positive thoughts, you tend to see the best in every situation. Your perspective shifts & you're open to opportunities that would otherwise be hidden by your negativity. You also appreciate the good the stuff so much more. It's a similar story with luck. People who believe they're lucky, aren't surprised when they get lucky. It's not luck so much as their positive perspective & thinking. Your beliefs, definitions & the stores you tell yourself have a dramatic impact on your experience.
One step further, if you think for yourself you will come to positive thinking naturally…………it is literally instinctive. Most simply never think for themselves in a quiet environment. Modern society tricks you into commanding your attention continually.

Plus conviction
