⚠ PSA, PLEASE READ ALL ⚠ 1. Bitcoin Knots 29.1 AND Bitcoin Core 29.1 are now available on the marketplace 🎉 2. Due to a bug in StartOS 0.3.5.1, we recommend stopping Bitcoin before updating. Otherwise, Bitcoin might get stuck in a "stopping" state. If this happens, the fix is to restart the server. 3. Due to another bug in StartOS 0.3.5.1, after updating Bitcoin, it will temporarily enter a "Needs Config" state. It does not need config. Just wait, it will go away in a few seconds. 4. Due to a bug in StartOS 0.3.5.1, Knots and Core will BOTH display as having an update available in the "Updates" tab. Don't worry, we are not trying to trick you into switching implementations. If you currently have Knots installed, updating to Core will fail. If you currently have Core installed, updating to Knots will fail. 5. To switch from Knots to Core, or from Core to Knots, follow these instructions:

Good to know! Datum setup has been a pain in the ass too, particularly with blocknotify. Keep up the good work though!

I was referring to their sales/downloads, to verify that data. We jumped from 19% to almost 25% and obviously I want to believe they are legit, and would be great if @Start9 could help verify.

Matt Hill: "[In that period] Start9 sold 1,004 servers and observed an ~2,000 new DIY instances. Bitcoin Core was downloaded 2,201 times. Bitcoin Knots was downloaded 3,202 times. Download figures represent the aggregate of testing, upgrading, switching, and fresh installs. Based on these figures, we think it is safe to assume that StartOS added 1,500 - 2,000 new nodes to the Bitcoin network from June 1 - Sep 8, with a ~1,000 node swing in favor of Knots. I determined DATUM ( maybe)was making my server go nuts. Seems to cause really acute spikes in resources and server would go to 85 or 90 celsius. Although niw i switched to public pool and similar behavior happens as well, so perhaps that is the case when trying to self host mining 🤷‍♂️

Not having those issues on my brand new StartOS yet, unlike my old Umbrel, but I upgraded my RAM to 32 GB so it runs smoothly.

There is no distinction. All our servers run StartOS. If you're not seeing the update it's either because you are on an outdated version of StartOS, or because you need to refresh the page.

Since StartOS is dark-themed, we inverted the colors for cleaner visibility. Seemed like an appropriate move, at least more accurate than the orange Bitcoin B
