The idea that OGs are selling for ideological reasons is such nonsense. There's a clear indication in the galaxy sale that this wasn't the case (as one example data point) But even then you can never know for sure, so stop obsessing over it.

Bitcoin is not your hobby project.
Umm bitcoin doesn’t care, it will keep going into the future regardless of how we feel. Has a long way to go before it’s a medium of exchange for people other than .02% of the earth’s population who have it. The dollar is on its way to failure and honestly it’s better that it dies slowly over the next few years instead of at once. I’m not worried about my bags being pumped, it’s about my grandchildren not being fucked. It’s freedom tech to most and the revolution hasn’t even warmed up yet. We all work hard for what we believe in and you definitely have. Competition is where bitcoin will shine over the dollar and I embrace it. The killer use case is not getting debased

I can get how frustrating this would be for someone early to bitcoin. Seeing all the problems so clearly and knowing you have the solution but the rest of the world does not see it. Always thinking the system will break any second now just for it to limp along. Feeling disconnected from the world as you realise so much if it is a false and evil construct. In one sense you have won because you have become financially free but on the other hand the chains of enslavement that you can see on the rest of the world still remain intact.

Still in early adoption. We are talking about the BTC as the base for global wealth. Now that takes time.

You are wrong again ngu dude
Can‘t relate either. Just another capitulation note. Another freedom fighter lost during war while we are winning at scale 🧡🗽

Vlad has the best podcasts, hands down. Listen before dismissing him. I’m not as cynical, but I agree: Bitcoin has veered toward maximum NGU rather than maximum freedom and liberty. No native privacy and no practical scaling (not everyone can have a Lightning channel) are real limitations. The incentives will drive privacy eventually, because the powerful won't need the state once they can hide their wealth. When fiat and the state collapse, most people won’t be sovereign, they’ll be serfs to the Lords who bought Bitcoin with leverage. Ironically, “Bitcoin Only” is starting to look like the new psyop. True resistance may come from altcoins, but they’re vulnerable to 51% attacks. At scale, high transaction fees will reduce UTXO access to institutions. Dishonest banks will outcompete honest ones, and we’ll be back to free banking, with all its instability and collapses.

Good things take time. We are already building an alternative world in the background so that people can use it when they need it.
I’ve been on vlads pod. I like vlad. I’m not dismissing him without knowing where he’s coming from. I just don’t agree with the take.
It is more than 15 years already, the revolution has been canceled in 2017.
THOUGHT THE SAME. THIS GUY OBVIOUSLY DOESNT OPEN SOURCE, COULDNT BE A MORE EXCITING TIME TO BUILD

Vlad is low IQ. "why isnt Bitcoin like zcash? im going to dump my btc and use zcash" "why dont we do drivechains?" "why dont we do an hybrid pow/POS mining?" Just another mindless shitcoiner.
He is a kid. A rebel. He wanta to be the cool kid with cool stuff. No responsability, no moutha to feed. It is a good thing to have kids taking risk with their shitcoins. If they build something usefull it will come to bitcoin in due time.
