I think #Bitcoin Core has lost the plot with it's handling of OP_RETURN. And I think you'd have to be bonkers to run Bitcoin Knots. My 2 sats.

Spam is bad; filters, even though imperfect, have a positive effect ie. keep the protocol usable (see email) It’s clear conversation is needed but that seems utterly impossible at this point it’s pure ego. Sad.
This entire saga gets stranger by the day. Adam Back on Twitter just now: "Bitcoin is owned by humanity, the protocol developers are stewards, and need consensus from users to change it materially. bitcoin is about money, spam has no place in the timechain. what defaults the bitcoin core project puts in the reference client matter in this" View quoted note →
coretards might wanna ddos, but there is a setting on knots that helps with that. i think the question should be "what are the dangers of running core".
bitcoin is money, money is energy. bitcoin can cut the energy streams flowing to them. that's why protecting bitcoin against attacks is important. that's why knots is important. you can't win by battles, or letting people know. you have to cut the energy streams of fiat.
btw anyone here seeing this: core still can't detect inscriptions and include them in the data size limit. they refused to PR 3 years ago. that's why utxo size exploded. knots has been able to detect inscriptions and include them in the data size limit for the past 3 years.

Same. Core needs to have a code of ethics about bitcoin. It should be something like : - no change in supply - no pushing controversial defaults - no moderating discussions stuff like that
