2. Whenever some service detects you are using a VPN, use mysterium dark VPN with a residencial IP.
Spotify is corporate garbage. They censored many podcasts during the plandemic. I have never had a subscription or plan on getting one. They treat musicians like garbage too.

Does it have a decent library of music?
I use a vpn alll the time with Spotify. The only time it doesn’t work is when my location is Canada. Silly Canada no Spotify for you!

I've NEVER used Spotify. When they first launched, they were not available in the USA, so I said fuck that and went full Google Music.
Proud user of Google Music / Google Play Music / YouTube Music for 14 years. Never once used Spotify. Though I did have Tidal last year for a bit because of their Nostr integration, but I cancelled because YTM is just better.

I dug up my old iPod that I got in 2005, flash modded it and I've been using for like 2 months, and could not be happier. I've copied all of the music I own, that I bought from bandcamp, qobuz etc. and my ripped CDs into it. After seeing this, I'm happy that I did the right choice to cancel my Spotify subscription back then.
Also, if I ever need streaming, I could stream my own music using a free server software such as Navidrome etc.
Glad I kept my CDs

Unfortunately, this has also happened to me, including on other websites and apps, especially bank websites and applications.
Old news, but I've been dealing with this off and on for a couple years and ive been locked out since about late may early june, I try once a week or so. Part of a group plan so I'm going to have to get my playlists off and tell the group I'm not paying for it.
