Because being on a board makes one subject to fiduciary duty, and those become impossible to fulfill when you are on a board with actual scammers. @N is incompetent and engaged in laziness and petty fraudulence but the one ultimately responsible for this disaster is the one who promoted and elevated him, and that’s Matt @ODELL. Odell has consistently engaged in waste and fraud, most recently when he overpaid for Samourai’s federal plea deal by 950k. Everything he touches ends in rot and disaster. Until @ODELL resigns, OpenSats is a self-dealing proxy for Odell’s financial interests and everyone involved is in grave violation of their fiduciary duty.

@hodlbod has made the point that they don't know who is qualified to perform these reviews nor know how to select these individuals. As well those people would be less likely to operate on grant-based funding.

I think anything that has direct ties to user funds like a wallet, should absolutely budget for an audit. But if your project doesn't touch funds or is more of a general framework that can be implemented correctly or incorrectly, i don't see the point.
