I blame the "you can just do things" trend for this. everyone is just doing things!
Sen. Rubio then added "it would be like if insurance policies became obsolete by people forming their own pools of capital to pay providers directly. Just madness!!!"

I'm a big fan of all the things he just said. GOOD! The US need to stop acting like the world's mediator anyway. "BUt wE WoNt bE Able tO SaNCtiOn ThEm." OH NO! You mean no more financial colonialism? 😔 How sad! Anyway...
Good. China can have the Triffin paradox or dilemma or whatever it's called. Let's let that shit go, then bitcoinize and become the most efficient economy on earth and simultaneously rug pull the dumdums that took "reserve currency" off our hands. Send China a fruit basket with a nice note saying Thanks.

Why? The most important liberty is economic liberty, and the most important part of that liberty is the ability of nations and individuals to choose for themselves the UoA and MoE.

I never noticed how wild his ears are before…
I wonder how many Americans in here saying "good!" Realize the world of pain this will cause in everyday Americans lives? That international trade is demand for dollars. That is the whole point of the petro dollar. Collapse that demand and those dollars go home becoming higher inflation in America. That is the vertical wall part of hyperinflation. Not pro America bullying the rest of the world with the dollar, just aware that the politicians are right to be scared shitless of sudden collapse.
Politicians are enemies of the people. It's actually good that they are scared. They really should be scared of the gallows, if you ask me. I get your point about the pain it will cause us because our economy will be flooded with USD that isn't used elsewhere. I was aware of and worrying about that point back when Satoshi Nakamoto wasn't anyone's nym yet. Bitcoin SOLVED that problem, completely, the only way it can be solved, and it works for every last human on earth as long as they choose to opt in. How long should we have to wait for them to opt in before we don't feel sorry about this kind of thing any longer? It's been since 2011 for me, I really can't care too much for anyone still calling bitcoin a scam in 2026.
When Marco spoke back then, one of the greatest demons to ever walk the planet: Henry Kissinger (who was heavily involved in the global petrodollar mechanics) was still alive. He died at the end of that year and things haven't been the same since.

Can't speak for @Bill Cypher, but I think it's more about being aware of the hardship that not opting in will bring. To your neighbors and even family. You can't sleep easy when your neighbor is hungry. Be prepared.
It’s like watching slow motion dominos fall in an almost Zen like fashion as the backdrop to the eleventy ring circus pulling moths to flames. Wild timeline indeed!!
Yeah, the nocoiner zombie mobs will definitely be something to avoid completely one day... Of course they might all blame AI and Elon for taking their jobs and not notice at all that their fiat has crashed dramatically. Either way, I've got plans to be far away from nocoiners. El Salvador is my backup plan, and a Seastead of bitcoiner anarchists deep in the south pacific ocean is my main goal.
Will do! I've been planning something for a while now. The political climate is so ugly these days, I think it may be time to kick it up a notch and get things rolling sooner rather than later.
