That would be awful. Getting rid of Twitter would be like getting rid of op_return: where would we put the garbage? It'd seep into everything. But yea, we're taking traffic from them, taking it from discord (check out Concord chats via Armada and some other clients), taking traffic from the Play store with Zapstore, traffic from YouTube with Zapstream and flare.pub, traffic from Tiktok with DiVine, traffic from Spotify with WavLake and Fountain, and even from ICANN with FIPS. Just to scratch the surface of what Nostr is doing. There's also geocaching with Treasure for when its time to touch grass. Elon wishes he could be the everything app. We have the everything protocol.

I'll take 1 or 2 replies from real people with interesting context than all the engagement in the world on a platform that bans me and filters me with no notice or recourse and is full of people just performing for an algorithm anyway.

It's just like chewing on fresh rawhide. If you only do it a little at a time it's always hard. But if you sit down and really put your jaw into it it softens up nicely and you can get the most out of it. Lessons my dogs taught me.
