Who are these normies of which you speak? What line of demarcation exists to strike separation between normies and .. not normies? Do you mean users vs developers? If so then I’m afraid a normie shall I ever be and a normie shall I remain. I’m perhaps doomed, as the rest of the normies to perambulate about breathing in clouds of my own dandruff and doing only normie things and thinking only normie thoughts. Also, I don't think making power users angry helps. They are niche, but their word matters. It's good to have them on your side to help with adoption.
Anyway, once obstacles are removed, we need lead magnets. Nostr itself is one that will trump when the hard time comes, but something else in the meantime would be nice to have too.

I think normies should for their smartphos, ib one minute get out of BigTech cloud into a NextCloud provider. Get a trustful password vault like bitwarden or keepass. And the next minute have stuff like Nostr backed up in the NextCloud... That's what I would tell granny to do on the tablet...
As I state in the Futuristic vision, we should be standard for them to follow, but aggregate their data until we win the race...
Implementing their ID is the other way around... Instead of prison breaking people you are making them keep that prison ID to come here... Why?! It should be them implementing npub/nsec standard for people to see their stuff with our ID system...

An nsec is basically just a password you can't change (private key). Probably the easiest way to get bitcoin to use on nostr is with CashApp if you're in the states
Well we've had power users for years and nostr keeps shrinking, I think it's probably the opposite of what you describe - the power users are so toxic they actually drive people away from nostr
