Dude… Twitter is insufferable. Every time I actually spend any time engaging over there it feels like it gets worse and worse. Or maybe I’m just losing interest in the type of conversation and seeing it for the cheap trick to enrage me that it really is. Hard to say.

Once you see it for what it is, it’s hard to spend time there without proceeding to claw out your eyeballs.
Probably both. For me the beauty here is that what I see is what I get.. no hidden algos ‘choosing’ for me, ‘directing’ my attention, or attempting to manipulate me into a narrative. It’s a very different feeling viscerally here and I love it! 😄💜
You can certainly feel them trying to program you. I would like to dump it completely but I do feel like there is good value in the macro content as well as the diet and fitness content. Not too much in the way of quality #Bitcoin content like there was several years ago.
Agreed. I think the juxtaposition with nostr is increasingly striking. The more I use nostr the less I use Twitter (and the more excruciating I find it).
the disposition of the people still connected to the declining vestiges of U.S empire neoliberalism is getting worse. and as the illusion of empire dies, its flaws become more apparent
And it doesn't even have zaps. For me it feels like a place I spend 5-10 mins "getting up to speed" but don't engage with much. Outside of dunking on Peter Schiff etc.
I have to say ever since I deleted Twitter, Facebook and Instagram I have been much happier. Life just feels better without all that noise. #Nostr all the way best part is that I'm her because of your @Guy Swann so thank you very much for introducing me to the world of decentralization
Got on X for a few minutes yesterday, immediately got into an argument with a complete starnger over trivial matters totally unrelated to me. Yeah, it's bad. Same goes for Facebook.
Tired of seeing fight videos and nothing but misery and suffering on the app.
If everyone is uniform in their opinions there is no inciting incodent that cause debate, rage, laughter or engament to happen. Nostr is chill cus everyone here is a bitcoiner. If all the bitcoiners are honey potted, bitcoin adoption will be considerably slower.

My account got locked for “suspicious behavior” and they wanted me to jump through some hoops. I took that as a sign that I don’t belong there any more. I spend more time here now. Although I do miss a few accounts over there, it is much better here.
I don't understand why waste time in a place where everything is fake. The algorithm masks everything you see on the platform. Honestly, more and more I find the place boring; repetitive.
Yeah the vibe on nostr is just unmatched. It feels like everyone is here to help one another. Part of me does wonder whether the culture on nostr will transform as adoption expands, or if things will mostly stay the same.

Clinging on to twitter because it was once good is like clinging onto old friends you no longer have anything in common with. Same with reddit. You wouldn't go there with your Bitcoin questions anylonger. Let them go and move forward.
First time in 3 years: i logged out of twitter a week ago. Feel liberated.
Yep. I just shut my account down. Then I realize I’m missing out on a lot. Oh well.
If it weren’t for the quick news search I wouldn’t be there. Even then it just seems to be getting worse. 🤷🏻‍♂️
Probably a bit of both. I haven’t missed it since I left in January. The signal can be found elsewhere.
You'll have to prove that there was ever a good faith conversation on Twitter in the first place. That is s very hard thing to do. I cannot recall when I last saw that anyone being challenged by an opponent, on a core point of their beliefs or implications of said beliefs not having responded with a red herring or non sequitur. It is much different (and actually good) experience when you browse it passively (via nitter) and just check out the interesting accounts.

Seriously I see the same annoying posts for days and they keep popping up and I never see the stuff I want.
