A fun phrase for #4 is “betsubara” (別腹/べつばら), having room for dessert despite your stomach being full. My host father used to say it all the time. Additionally the last one, ganbaru, is actually just the word for the verb “to persevere”, commonly a phrase used in self motivation. (Ex: struggling to complete a task and you remind yourself, “ 頑張る!”.

the japanese are such smart people on average, it's pretty cool how that works, shows that the stupidity of americans is the product of a poor culture it also is interesting because it shows that culture can compensate for a lot of efforts to demoralize a population, this is why their banking system was the first to go into full retard
