how are you banned? I see your post from damus notedeck.
primal is centralized, but nostr isn't
for example i can see this post
I’m banned only on Primal app And it happened right after someone tag my post to miljan
primal isn’t a nostr client, its a platform that sources data from nostr. real nostr clients can’t ban you.
Nostr is decentralized. Primal isn’t a real nostr app. It just plays one on tv.
Any suggestions for a good client?
Amethyst on android.
None on desktop.
Jb55 will probably say damus (its good, I like it, but it misses too many features for me).
Are you actually a us representative? Or is this a parody account?
i use amethyst on android, nosmero on web
there is a real person, but i don't know if this is them https://www.txdot.gov/content/dam/docs/division/tpp/maps/congressional/cong-district-30-119th.pdf
nosotros.app
A decentralized social network based on nostr protocol
ty for this info and it's insightful. I did not know that this is the case. 🫂
Primal can ban you? Just got into nostr a few weeks ago and am using primal
Use YakiHonne. Much better UI. And I mean incredibly better UI.

Yes. There is even a badge for these kind of actions

Desktop: noStrudel, Phoenix, YakiHonne, Coracle, Jumble
Android: Amethyst
iOS: Damus
It's an imposter account, you can see porn pictures posted weeks ago.
Probably just reported and not "banned"..
Probably a troll.
This isn’t a real account, there’s literally a picture of bare ass posted on it a month ago, LMAO.

Exactly. This is an obvious imposter account and it was reported as such via standard Nostr reporting events. There are many such cases and Primal filters them out. Nobody wants to get a dm from Dorsey asking how your trade is going.
Makes you question the motives of those who are jumping on this opportunity to fud Primal.
users decide who is an impostor or a scammer
You're making decisions for your users. That's called content moderation. Like making 2nd level WoT a "product decision". It's not for Primal to set these things by default
no, users decide what clients to use. client are free to decide what they want about who is who.
Of course it is for Primal to set. You get to decide what clients to use. You don't have some absurd and fantastical right to decide on behalf of client devs what defaults their clients can or cannot implement.
real nostr clients can ban you — from their real nostr client.
Nostr is about user AND developer choice. Devs don't have to implement every NIP and users can move around based on client features and capabilities.
to be clearer and avoid pedantic responses like yours i should have said "users and software projects are both free to do whatever they like, but in my opinion the best way to preserve censorship-resistance and end-user power in a decentralized network is for content to be filtered by the users' own trust graph (and not their client's whims) as much as possible, lest you run into tha age-old problem of 'clients' quietly making more and more decisions for users until you're exactly back where we started with fully centralized platforms and users have lost the thread, enchanted by ease, 'safety' and 'engagement'"
sorry, i didn't feel like typing all that and i figured it was obvious or else why the fuck are we here together?
That fixed it. Sad thing is that it's not all that obvious, there is a high degree of irrational entitlement here when it comes to *~freedom~*.
they have banned users from their trending algo (onyx, ralf). they already proved they can and will.
The principle IS that obvious.
The only thing that isn't easy/obvious about it may be being an early adopter - which is not for everyone. If what I'm saying isn't obvious to someone, they might be better off waiting a year or two for clients to emerge that provide a good experience while still respecting the principles I'm ranting about.
Yes, and I am one that made plenty of critiques to Primal, for that and many other reasons..
This said.. THIS NPUB IS A TROLL, CAN WE STOP ENGAGE WITH HIM AND NOT GIVING HIM RELEVANCE BECAUSE IS USING A KNOWN FACT ABOUT PRIMAL TO BOOST HIS VISIBILITY?
Thanks.
We'll only know what will emerge when the subsidies end and clients as a group have to face economic reality. It's economic reality that forces clients to looks for selling points, and a curated (or, gasp, moderated) experience is one such selling point. This is a time of economic un-reality for nostr, I'm not sure much can be read into it.
primal sucks, don't recommend it or pay for their subscription, they flagged my other account when I tried to get a lightning address

yes media uploads are separate from the nostr protocol, there are no censorship resistance guarantees. Ideally people would host their own media on services they trust
I'm fine with Primal banning as long as they can't ban you from nostr. Isn't that the whole point? Different nostr clients can have different approaches and you can just move to a different client if you don't like it.
Please forgive my ignorance if this is wrong I've been on nostr for like 2 weeks
💯🤣🤣🤣✅
what was the post?
As it's a hosted site, they can ban you from primal. You can however just go log into any other nostr client with your nsec and carry on.
Any hosted client can ban you from their hosting, though most of them, like coracle or Nostrudel, can be self hosted too.
i hate suggesting damus because I'm never happy with it 😅 i would say try it and stay if you like it but don't become tribal about it. shop around.
although I am very happy with damus notedeck and damus android... I poured my blood and sweat into this client and am very proud of it. definitely worth trying
You’re a pedophile

Onde fica a DM do Jumble?
Não tem.
Bearing in mind that those desktop options also work fine on mobile too because theylre actually web clients.
Isso é considerado positivo?
Na minha opinião, sim.
DMs ainda são consideradas inseguras?
Depende. Mas me parece que ainda não chegaram a um consenso da melhor forma de implementar.
