Least of all the Euros. The central planning did not stop with the fall of the iron curtain.

Many Europeans may not recognize soft totalitarianism, especially if it’s framed as “safety”, “equity”, or “progress”. The State’s hella good at subtle ideological control. It may be the only thing they’re goods at. When folks are sufficiently propagandized, everyone misses the forest for trees. The people quibble over trivialities while the State amasses influence and power over every detail of their lives. I no longer find things like this surprising after living through the pandemic stateside. It was quite unreal to witness the lull most were in…and how apologetic they were toward the government’s conduct.

It’s cool. We’re all just temporarily playing avatars in this consciousness-created information system that we live in. Just cooperate with the willing, I am thinking.
USA is literally 1984 + the collapse of the Soviet union + the rise of Adolf Hitler in Nazi Germany All at the same time. And Americans are projecting everything that's bad about their own government onto countries they've never even researched. Like the fact you are referring to Europe as if it is just one country. That alone shows everyone how ignorant you are and how you are projecting American problems onto other countries
Asking people if they are retarded right after you yourself made the most retarded statement that I have ever seen on nostr. Now that's ironic
Blue Maga are no better just sayin' Democrats and Republicans both work for Israel against the American people
Things in Europe have been super chilled and laid back until the COVID flex. However, the majority of people are super brainwashed. The UK has been totally decimated and sacrificed on the alter of socialism though. image
Pretty much everyone who is reading your note cares. It also depends, not every country is the same. The EU is gay, yes. But I can live a normal life with my family, the thing affecting us most noticeably is Inflation. We are lucky though, we are not affected by mass immigration as much as the rest of the EU, which I would say is the other big thing reducing quality of life in EU countires. A lot of the laws being pushed by the EU are certainly bad.
That's the whole point of the boiling frogs method isn't it? I think the timing is pretty good. There is ptobably less than 1% alive of the people who actually remember being in WW2. For others a war seems unimaginable, while there has always been active memories of war on anybody's mind and there have been very few people in all of the existence of Europe. I've also stopped talking about it or trying to convince people that things are going in a wrong direction. They just think i'm crazy while i am not even going into how bad things might become, but mostly summing up why 1980-2000 was wildly different than 2000-2020. People still wave it away, like war in Europe cannot possibly ever happen again. Anybody with a position in power will gladly abuse this docile behavior because they have loads of time to do whatever they please. Nobody is complaining and human capabilities to remember the past are not good enough to separate fact from fiction.

It’s like the beginning stages of Atlas Shrugged…

I've lost hope the people wake up beforw things get worse, now I'm hoping they go even harder, it's the best way to wake up the normies. I'm also a bit tired of sounding like the lunatic whenever I go full paranoid bitcoiner around normie friends. I used to think that one day they'll wake up and acknowledge that I was right all along, but in reality they'll most likely resent me for it...
Oddly enough, they’re also doing the cautionary tale part of Atlas Shrugged at the same time. Just need state sponsored drug addiction for the Brave New World trifecta. Oh wait…
These problems aren’t isolated to a single country in Europe they’re happening broadly across the continent. Almost every European country is experiencing mass migration and totalitarian anti speech measures. Europes fate is interconnected.
Well, it’s just like 1984 then. Bonnie cared in his book either. Even Winston, in the end, loved Big Brother. Not a good sign. Luckily #Bitcoin will enforce the right incentives and can not be corrupted by humans. That’s, imho, why it’s the most profound invention.

I used to say I would never move to USA mainly because I'll be on some list for googling 911 too many times. However with UK going the way it is, I would now be happy to go to America.
The EU is likely to break up in the next ten to twenty years. If it survives it certainly won't be the same as it is today but I expect more countries will want to do a Brexit before that if they can & just have trading aggreements.
I care about the US right now..scooping up students and holding them in detention centers in LA, known for torture and substandard human conditions, cause they criticized a foreign govt, is as Big Brother as it gets. Yet, Americans are more interested in what's happening across the Atlantic.

European bitcoiners care plenty.
Add on actively engaging in national elections to prevent outcomes they deem undesirable. There seems to be a propensity to self destruct too. i.e. actively shutting down viable power stations in an energy tight environment, and allowing strategically important industry to close down. The madness will not go on indefinitely. It will end, it is merely a matter of how it ends, rather than if. ( IMHO )
Can be happening in major countries like Germany i guess and it can spread to other countries, but so far here its not, everything is chill, we had/have some problems with too many immigrants and rules to enter are now more tight, but thats about it, each country can have a very different culture and its not easy to enforce everything across all the EU.
You are correct. But its not a coincidence that the gov changed from the left to the right and rules to enter are now tighter, everyone is very aware of that and are voting more to the right. Even the other major party that is center left says that it was too much without any control. So i think here things will slow down, one good thing is that sometimes here wages are so low that foreigns leave for Spain or Germany 😂
